Sampled both versions ( the unspecified bottle as well as the 2016-label bottle. both are 75cl. Both pour muddy brown, small white head. Smell (2016 label ) is sweet, malty, full, silmple but nice. The regular bottle has way more bitterness, less sweetness. Sharper. Taste is ( 2016 label ) sweet, rich aromatic dark malts. Bit buttery, in a nice way. Very easy, OK beer, but a nice drinkable beer and very nice to have in between. The regular one is off. Sharp, not as sweet. Seems like a less-worked out batch. i’d rate 3.6 for the 2016, and only 3.1 for the basic.

Bottle @ home shared with Inoven, TomHendriksen and Joes. Clear golden color, small off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly herbs or spices, quite sweet as well but a bit weird sweetness. Decent body and carbonation. Ok beer.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ home. BBF 05-10-2017. No gushing. Completely clear golden, little white head. Nose is cooked vegetables, esters, phenolic, sweet butter and plastic. Sparkling body with plastic imitation butter. Taste is plastic, butter, mineral, cooked vegetables, very sweet plastic, phenolic, popcorn with butter. It has a basic sweetness that makes it partially drinkable. This has too many unfortunate notes with many I mean they completely dominate. This is good only for people who like cheap high boosting blond beers, industrial imperial lager meets Belgian Ale. ABV is rather low but taste profile suggest a high boosting affair purchased for the bang per buck. Given the overlap between the metal & beer geek community, a brewer should aim higher for a metal themed beer.

Sampled draft @ Moderste 2016. Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is dull grainy, plastic, metallic. Taste is dull, bland, metallic grains, unpleasant plaster, bland, grain, weak bro. Bland, sugar, grain. Earlier Rating: 11/9/2013 Total Score: 3.433 cl. bottle split by 2 @ Rampkrot. Shared cost & picked up @ Bar Oud Postje. BBF 25/02/2012. Pretty odd label. Hazy orange, amber with a creamy faintly off-white head. Nose is bitter zest, huge yeast, esters, bitter, touch soap, hoppy, slightly medicinal,… Taste is bitter peel followed by very heavy sweetness of marmalade, candy sugar in huge amount, caramel, BE yeast, faint esters, light grass, boozy, biscuit, touch brown & alternative grains, slightly body. Very thick biscuit malts, okay brew but a bit too pressing on the sweetness for me in a very BE fashion.

Bottle. pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is sweet, bit malt. Taste is bit bitter, over a very sweet ( bit malty, some yeast ) basic beer. Some aromatic yeastyness in the aftzertaste. Not terrible at all, just very damn simple, sugary, and overly yeasty belgian Tripel. Earlier Rating: 11/9/2013 Total Score: 3.8Bottle at rampkrot Pours fuzzy blonde . Big but fast fading white head Smell has fruits going on , with some hoppyness ( faded ) Taste is syrupy sweet , very sweet . Belgians try-to-be-barleywine ? Ok
