Bottle shared in London - thanks to Paul. Pours dark brown with a creamy, khaki head. Burnt leaves and pine in the nose, a bit of toasted bread, grapes. Medium sweet flavor with gummy candies, grapes, bread, subtle roast and chocolate. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more ripe, dark fruits, berries, grapes, light cocoa. Fairly tasty though a bit one-dimensional.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is roast, toast, earth, lemon peel, chocolate, charred wood, berry and yoghurt. The taste is bitter, acidic, dark fruit, raisin, cherry, charcoal, toast and coffee grinds with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not a whole lot of depth to it. So-so black IPA.

18/III/14 - 75cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ Francis' place - BB: VI/15, bottled: VII/13 (2014-299) Thanks to Beerlover_Ben for doing my shopping!
Little stable dark brown beer, fizzy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: smelly, moulded bread, dried fruits, dead yeast, nope, this is pretty bad! MF: lots of carbon, medium body. TAste: sweet and sugary, caramel, bit bready, lots of banana, overripe fruits, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: bit unpleasant, weird bitterness, banana peel, dried fruits, sugary, little sourish, caramel. (Re)fermented too warm and quickly? It's just a guess...

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. BBF 11/07/2015. Lovely label. Hazy orange with a creamy white head and very thick lacing. Nose is yoghurt and faint peach yeast, thick yeast, faint white chocolate, sweetish. Taste is thick white bread, yoghurt yeast, touch white sugar, faintest lemon, sugary, finish is minerals with faint sea salt. Thick yeasty body. Okay but this is another BE beer that is little more than just a glass of yeast. Sigh.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a huge and slightly off-white foamy head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, mildly bready malt, sugar, subtle citric notes and spicy hops. Slightly bitter-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. A bit slim and dry malty base with herbal hoppy and phenolic spice; rather slim, dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish. Has something of a lighter Tripel. 11.I.14

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Gent, consumed at home on Thursday 13th February 2014. Mid amber a touch hazy, a slim filmy white head. Nice citrussy flavour, soft in mouth, a good bittersweet finish, little bit of polish comes through but not in a bad way, actually really smooth and soft. Tangy, the strength shows a little but again not in a bad way, like this, actually its only 6%. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

75cl bouteille @ RBBWG III.
