Bottle shared thanks to Scott. Fairly hazy amber with a ring white head. Aroma is infected. Brett, Elastoplast and strange peaty notes rule over light fruit and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. [04/08/2016]

Bottle from Buchanan’s Bistro. It pours deep red - brown with a foamy white head. The aroma is rich malty action, brown bread, spice, varnish, leather and earth. The taste is rich, dried fruits, jam, fruit cake, brown bread, earthy, musty, dirt, wood and some alcohol warmth through the finish. Medium - full body, fine carbonation and chewy mouth - feel. A rich, old-school malty number. Good fun.

Bottle at THT. Dark brown with beige head. Lots of licorice, strong herbs, coriander, ginger, brown sugar, dry mineral and dusty notes, some roasted malts. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit watery feel. A bit too herbal for me.
