Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 beers this beer poured a hazy pale yellow color with a small foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was strong cucumber and white vinegar. The flavor was strong cucumber, white vinegar, salt and a touch of sourdough bread. Medium finish of cucumber and white vinegar. Medium body. Very odd but quite tasty.

Bottle # 847. Dark brown pour with fleeting light brown head. Fantastic chocolate nose. Delicious with loads of chocolate, carmel, bourbon, and oak notes. Sweet, but not overly so. Outstanding mouthfeel with a good body. Would never know this is 15%. Bravo…..

Bottle at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to the host with the most - bottle #64, 19/09/13. Pitch black with a thin dirty tan head that dissipates edgeward leaving a film. Nose is roast malt, bourbon, light spice, dark chocolate. Taste comprises dark chocolate, bourbon, a boozey do indeed, toffee notes, roast malts. Full bodied, fine carbonation, dry roasty finish with a bourbon lacing. Nice impy.

The Last Tasting at Bruce’s palatial pad. Thanks to Bruce for this one. Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Softish and semi dry palate with fine carbonation. Rich dark chocolate and malt. Nice mellow bourbon, just a touch of spice. Good dark malt cream. Finishes semi dry. Nice.

Bottle at Bruce’s, big thanks to the host himself. It pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is chocolate, roasty, toast, earth, vanilla and dark chocolate. The taste is chocolate, toffee, alcohol warmth, bourbon, fudge, earth, butterscotch and oak with sweet finish. Medium-full body and fine carbonation. Pretty big stuff all-round, yet drinkability is pretty high. Nice.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - big thanks to Bruce. Pours oily black with a beige cream head. Nose has burnt toffee, vanilla, dark chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor, lots of dark berries, creamy chocolate, gooey chocolate syrup, slight roast, hints of burnt wood. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, plenty of gooey chocolate, more ripe berries. Damn tasty beer. Ga, really drinkable beer.

From the September 2013 3R6P tasting +++ Sampled form a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a small dark tan head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was plastic, rubber, chocolate and cookie dough. The flavor was plastic, rubber, coconut, black licorice, chocolate, cookie dough and had an odd off boozy presence. Long boozy finish with coconut, black licorice and cookie dough. Thick, creamy and smooth body. Some nice elements but disappointing overall.

Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a trace foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was boozy apple cider and brandy. The flavor was boozy with tart apple cider, rum and yeast. Long boozy apple and rum finish. Moderately full bodied but undercarbonated. Overwhelmingly boozy. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a hazy peach color with a small soapy-foamy white head that faded and left no lacing. The aroma was and lovely mix of very sweet sugar, fruit cocktail syrup and tropical fruits. The flavor was dryish and bitter with faint tropical fruits and fruity cocktail and some cardboard underneath. Long dry and bitter cardboard finish with just a hint of fruit cocktail. Medium body. The nose promised much that the flavor failed to deliver. Disappointing.
