Gold with just a touch of amber. Aroma is mostly malt with some sweet caramel and a touch of hops. Full mouth. Flavor has a stronger hop presence than the aroma but still run by the sweet malts. The 7% is pretty well hidden, which when drank as a summer refresher, can really surprise you.... Good brew.

Silver Cap - Green Label. Deep amber coloured body with a bit of a copper glow and a very large dense tan head that leaves a very nice lacing. Aroma of strong malt, alcohol and a pungent syrupy piney hop scent - very nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops up front with a very bitter flavour then fading to a nice tartness and rather drying malt character. Aftertaste shows some faint bitterness and then caramel to finish. Overall, a nice IPA - not stellar, but showing a lot of good dry hopping and a substantial malt backbone. I sampled this 22 Ounce bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 11-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 22-July-2010.

Bottle thanks to Dave! Pours black with a slowly dissipating brown head that dissipated slowly. Aroma is full of roasted malts with some dark chocolate and slight coffee. Flavor begins with strong roasted malts and dark chocolate grows with a bit of a coffee bite.

Pours black with a tan head. Nose is roasted chocolate malts, smoke, oatmeal and coffee. Taste is heavily roasted dry chocolate malts, mocha, smoke and roasted coffee beans. No hint of alcohol.

thanks to wavers1 for the bottle, pours thick black with a medium dark tan head. Aroma is strong coffee beans and bakers chocolate. This is a dark roasty beer through and through. Lots of coffee, and burnt sugar with a thin sweetness in an earthy wood note. This is a big, black, daddy of a beer.

Aroma of coriander, orange peel and barley. A bit on the heavy side of the wheat beer spectrum. Nice overall offering. Rated 10/31/08

Amber pour. Clear. Very strong raspberry, cherry and other fruits taste. Texture is almost juicy. Interesting ale, but not sure if I’d buy it again. Rated 10/31/08
