Acquired via a sweet-ass trade with treyrab. It pours deep darkness with brown to amber edges and thin tan head. The aroma is roasty malts mixing with mild chocolate, molasses, near burnt malts and black licorice. The taste is sweet rich yummy goodness consisting of creamy molasses and chocolate followed by dark to burnt malts. The burnt malts move toward hints of coffee, toffee and lighter notes of more burnt malts. Very nice stuff that will only improve with age. Yum!

Courtesy of Gillard. Pours dirty copper with gold edges and off white head. The aroma is pretty full with spice, hops, vague citrus hops, a bit of earthy hops and a mild backbone of malt sweetness. The taste begins neutral as floral, spice and mild tangelo hop bitterness grow quickly to midway. Riding along with the hops (but in the back seat) is a bit of malt sweetness. The hop bitterness persists into the finish as the malts fade. After a few ounces I begin to realize how this brew has some pretty decent hop bitterness into the finish and after taste.

Courtesy of Gillard. Pours dark murky brown with big bubbly tan head. The aroma is sweet brown sugar malts, mild roasty malts and an understated nuttiness. The taste is much roastier and nuttier than the aroma. Its bold sweet, roasty, nutty and a bit burnt. It tried to even out and meld into the finish. All in all the flavors seem a bit on the bright side.

22oz bottle-pours a white head and cloudy/hazy yellow color. Aroma is spice/grassy hops, some yeast. Taste is lots of grassy/herbal/wood-cedar/floral/citrus-orange rind hops bitterness, seocndry light/medium malt, yeast. Alcohol. A lot going on that doesn’t quite mesh.

22oz bottle-pours a rich foamy white head and hazy orange/amber color with floaties. Aroma is artificial syrupy fruit-raspberry/cherry, light malt/wheat, herbal/spice hops, yeast. Taste is metallic, tart, artificial syrupy fruit-raspberry/cherry, light malt/wheat, herbal/spice hops, lots of yeast. Aroma was close but not quite. Taste not even close. Bottle. Cloudy yellow almost a whitish color. Good white creamy head. Nice spicy hop aroma. Clean and crisp with crackery malts and a spicy hop with a light to medium bitter finish. Really good but could use more hops actually.

22oz bottle-pours a big foamy to rocky tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel/molasses/licorice, medium/dark fruit, secondary earthy/spice hops. Taste is sweet medium malt-chocolate/caramel/molasses/licorice, roasty, medium/dark fruit, secondary earthy/spice/chicory hops. Some bitter-sweet. Complex. Not quite my style but very well done. Semi-dry finish. Thanks jwc215 for sharing this one.

Another rarity courtesy of tbd975, you my friend ROCK!!! Pours up dead blackness void with thin brown head. Big boozy bourbony and oaky aroma clearly detected from feet away from my glass. As my nose gets less than “feet” away I can start to pick up some roasty malts way off in the back. The taste is kind of thin bringing in big amounts of bourbon followed by mild roasty to caramel malts, some vanilla and then oak notes. Oak and booze ride together to the finish in a big bold nearly brash manner. This brew could use a more balance as age may bring out the base beer.
