On nitro tap at Hopwired Festival, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lightly earthy, moderately fruity coffee, and bready malt. Flavour is quite fruity, with lots of red fruits, earthy coffee, and toasted bready malt. Fruity and earthy. It works pretty well.

Hazy light amber, thin head. Touch of diactyl along w fruity hop on the nose. How you get butter on a single? Hoppy but husky, dull and muted by yeastiness. I’m ok with the high bitterness but the malts and yeast are big misses for me. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sentinel on 25 Oct 2018 at 23:40 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 3 | Texture - 2 | Overall - 2.5. Original review text: Amber w some haze, nose shows some unfortunate sticky phenols. Sweet up front, feet, all sorts of fermentation issues here.

On tap at Townsite, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of lacto, followed by dank, weedy hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is like bitter yogurt, with tons of lacto and dank weedy hops vying for frontrunner. A little chaotic but to a fun beer.

On tap at Townsite, pours a hazy golden with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out dry Belgian yeast, bitter hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and bitter, with lots of dry biscuity malt, bone dry Belgian yeast and a crisp crackery character. Crisp and bone dry on the mouthfeel, with ample bitterness. Very solid.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is bone dry, with oats, toasted biscuity malt and a slight hint of the Belgian yeast. Flavour is more pronounced on the Belgian yeast, with crisp crackery malt, slight sweetness and fruity esters from the Belgian yeast and nicely bitter hops. Bone dry and with quite good depth for the style. Delicate and very well-structured. Really good.

Bottle - Barrel notes and some light stone fruit. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Light boozy notes, funky lemon peel and a dry finish.

Pours like a very foamy lager - lots of head and carbs, okay yellow-ish body though on the dark side but still, honestly, rather syrupy-looking; the stench is that of a strong lager. Hops, grains, all the rest, just the same as you could imagine, a big fighting lager but nothing there to inspire you. The flavour is sweet molasses and caramel, big candy sugar, rather harsh to suck down. If only she would have stayed with John Candy instead of trying to fuss with the new guy, but honesty and thankfully it's nice it's not me for once.

Off menu item at Troller Pub, in Horseshoe Bay, but also on at Tapworks. Cloudy/murky, thick head. On the nose, has quite a bit of fruity hops. On the palate, has a mellow lactic note, low bitterness and some fruity hops. The malts aren’t great, which is too bad because otherwise the hop and sour mash combo is fun.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Black color, with creamy brownish head. Mild aroma of roasted malt and cardboard. The mouthfeel is very smooth; roasted malt flavor, a touch of roasted nuts and coffee, no evidence of barrel, but it has the fruitiness of some good English Stout.
Very smooth.

Draught @ 12 Kings. Dark brown with medium head. Has the fruity, malt notes you expect from the style. Fruity, sweet, chocolate, rich and balanced...not sure how much barrel.

BC Beer Awards. Cloudy, tan, no head. Bretty nose with this sort of apple juice sweetness. Brett probably hasn't kicked in enough, as there is still a fair bit of sweetness.
