Draft - Dark earthy sour notes, touch of umami. Jet dark brown with a small head. Dark tart roast and a light tartness.

Bottle at Farmhouse Fest, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of balsamic, light dark fruits and some woody tannins. Flavour is flat, with light vinegar and woody tannins. Flat and lacking dynamics and depth. Not too impressive.

Bottle at Farmhouse Fest, pours an opaque bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings wine barrel notes, some tannins, and light vinegar. Flavour is quite peppery, with lots of tannins, some vinegar and oak. Very peppery, with a vinous, oaky finish. Not very complex or well-rounded. Meh.

Bottle. Medium brown, bit cloudy which makes it something of a muddy appearance. Lots of date stickiness on the nose, with wood, delicate spice. Similar date character and a soft body. Hint of wood combines with alcohol to lend a bit of dryness to the finish. Not bad...bit flat and I noticed that cap fell off when I touched it.

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy blond color, small compact head. This is the spiciest, most coriander loaded beer that I can remember; the mouthfeel is smooth and not too dry. Makes a statement; not bad.

Blonde and hazy. Thin head. The aroma is light brett, liquorice/anise, and a touch of bready pale malt. Touch of toastiness, light brett, bit of regular yeastiness, herbal hops have continental flair. Good balance - dry finish, just enough malt. Actually this is quite a nice beer.

650mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian saison yeast, light brett, and some dry oats. Flavour isn't very complex, with saison yeast, light funk and dry biscuity malt. Finishes dry and pretty simply on the saison yeast. It's decent.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a sort of English-quality bready malt character, along with red fruits and light tartness. Flavour is just not good, with bready malt, acidic notes, and lightly tart red fruits. Not good at all - what the hell is this supposed to be?

Cask - Bright grapefruit and a nice Anise note. Cloudy copper with a small white head. Grapefruit, nice soft bitterness and the Anise blend perfectly. Great experiment.
