Way too syrupy for me, and hard to drink. Pours brown with no head. Lots of caramelized malt and booze without much else. Tap at Snallygaster.

Unfermented like candy sugar and nothing else really. Pours murky brown. Very sweet finish - kind of a mess. A little foul. Tap at Snallygaster.

Draft at Snallygaster 2015. Poured a cloudy brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma was some toffee, caramel, vanilla, some light oak notes. Flavor was tasty, smooth malts with a touch of candy toffee. Pretty smooth, warming as you consume, with a slightly boozy finish.

On "velvet" (aka nitro) at the 7th street location, pours a dark brown with some creamy, tan head. Nose has toast, burnt malts, bread, some pine, soap, a little chocolate. Flavor follows, medium roast, dark chocolate, toast, pine. Creamy finish. A bit dumbed down, but OK.

(On Tap) Clear copper brown with good dense white head. Aroma is sweet fruity - passion fruit, hints of pine. Palate dominated by lively carbonation - in a good way - I think there’s a light body under that nice bright carbonation. Nice tasting beer with quite a lot going on. Lots of fruitiness. Some subtle balancing sweetness. Moderate, and very pleasant, bitterness in finish. Nice tasty easy drinking IPA.

(On Tap) Jet black with big white head. Smoky, peaty, oaky. Great palate - smooth but quite light at the same time. Great taste primarily oaky whisky over a sweetish dark roast malt. Very well balanced combination of flavours. This is bourbon, not stout, dominated. I like whisky so this works well for me. I guess if you are looking for a stout with whisky notes you may be disappointed.
