World Cup Beer tasting at Lazy Boy Saloon Beer #6. I see this beer on tap everywhere that I go so figured this tasting is a good time to try. Pour looks like the color of the inside of a very dry plum. Smell is of fruits. taste isn’t very good and isn’t all that fruity or like beer. well i’ve got a Louissiana rate now

Enjoyed on draft at Chuck’s Southern Cafe in Burbank, IL. Aroma slightly malty, appearance was very dark, almost black. Taste is like the description, hints of chocolate and toffee. Very good brown ale.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a average white head. Aroma is of orange peel and some bready malt with a touch of yeast. Flavor is about the same. Some citrus with a nice helping of the yeast at the end. This is ok and pretty true to the style.

On tap in Nashville, in a plastic cup, at the Wow Cafe (watching UFC). Pours a golden-amber colour with a white head that is thin and disappears quickly. Aroma is a decent mix of biscuit and caramel malts. The taste was a bit more interesting (and special). Nice flavours of darker red apples with a little alcohol warmth (but no burns). Notes of sweet malts were present as well. A pretty interesting Heller Bock.

Tap at Churchkey. Clear golden color, large bubble head. Aroma of rye bread and light spice, very nice. Taste is very bitter and very dry, but not really very pleasant; lacks balance. Overall average.

on tap pours amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is clean sweet malts, biscuit and pale. Flavor is sweet malt, some dry floral and grassy hops finishing.

Bottle: Poured a copper brown with a creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel, veggie, and dark fruit. Taste is a veggie malt mix, light on the fruit. Very sticky to the tongue.
