Tap at Ulysses. Not bad at all. Pours a light, orange-red with a foamy white head. Wheat nose with slight hints of raspberry and yeast. Flavor is very bready, with some mild malty sweetness and fruity tartness. Light to medium in body, well carbonated and pretty crisp. If you like fruit and/or wheat beers, this will be right up your alley.

Tap at Cowgirl Seahorse. Pours a light, shiny brown-amber. Medium white head. Nose is sweet, caramel malts. Flavor is malty, with some maple and caramel notes. Also some warming alcohol. Rich malty aftertaste. Pretty good.

From tap at Pacific Brewing. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is dry wooden malty and solid hoppy. Bitter, dry fruity and slight spiced flavoured, Dry into a solid hoppy finish. Light malty note providing a hint of counterbalance.

Pour is a orange with a large white head. Aroma is a very slight pine and not much else. Flavor is a big sweet mess. Very little hops show up just a lot of heavy sweet malts. This is not a good IPA and never again.

Bottle. Decent. Brilliant appearance. Pours a dark, almost opaque brown with a dense, beige head. Mild sweet malt aroma. Flavor was at first a bit of a letdown, given the auspicious, attractive start. But as I drank the brew grew on me somewhat. Light maltiness with some crisp, biting hops. Notes of toffee but very little chocolate. Overall the character is just too light. Pretty fizzy. Finish is clean with almost no aftertaste.

22 oz. painted bottle. Popped after the Saints won their 1st Super Bowl. Nice brown, cloudy body, fizzy head. Smell of fruit leather, a little clove, and touch of pipe tobacco. Taste is a little sugary, but not as much as the North Coast Cru d"Or I had last night. Solid maltiness with caramel and toffee. Just a touch of horse blanket, but a slight tobacco aftertaste. Fleeting impressions of cherry, Beeman’s gum and broiled steak. This is barely a year old, but tonight seemed best reason to open it. But this shows some rough spots that would smooth to a complex brew if it were to lay down a while longer.

Bottle opened just as the Saints pull ahead in Superbowl XLIV. Pours a clear overly carbonated gold with a fizzy head. Aromas of dough and honey. Flavor is grainy with a bit of grass and a little bit of a sour old beer taste.

On draft at Poor House Bistro in San Jose. Pours a deep brown color with large brown head that leaves a scattered dusting. Aroma is nice full malt with sweetness and nice spicy hops. Taste is crisp and well balanced between the malt and hops. Some roast on the finish and a little hop bite and esters. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with some viscosity.

Bottle. Pours light copper with a slight off-white head. Light aroma of caramel. Medium minus body with mild carbonation. Light caramel flavor with slight touch of grassy hop. Ok beer - just mild all over.
