Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours clear copper with amber core and nice tan head. The aroma is apple, a bit of cinnamon, a bit of cabbage, spice and Belgian candi sugar. The taste seems bright with fruitiness like apples and sweet ripe cherries to go along with yeasty spice and coriander. Seems a bit bright and disjointed.

Pale yellow lager appearance. Has a pretty good foamy white head. Slight volatile yeast smell. Quite strong, tries to be alky maximus. Even tho at times I feel an american belgian dubbel imitation style influence, this stuff comes across like a cheaper ice beer or malt liqour. Quite rude at times. Finish is alky linger in yer face, seems more than 8%. A big strong american beer, wew. Too expensive for the experience. $5 for a bomber. Excuse me, not impressed.

Pours deep mahogany into a shaker. Large tan micro head with excellent retention leaves sheet lacing as it recedes. Sweet, dark caramel aromas. Upfront chocolate and tangy pit fruits. Creamy with a lasting bitter cocoa finish.

Bottle from BevMo. Dark orange copper color with a multifinger, fine beige head. Aromas of yeast, spice and roasted caramel. Medium plus body with coarse carbonation. Flavor is malty, clove spicey and a bit veggie/herby. Though not exactly dry, it is somewhat astringent. Finishes dryish, with malt hanging around, and seems a bit mapley or dark fruity. The funniest part, I think there is funk turning up after awhile. Maybe it’s some kind of herb. Overall though it’s decently tasty and complicated.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper golden with a small frothy off white head that diminshes quickly. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is a toasted malt with raisin and wheat grass. The taste is a sweet malt with yeast and raisin. A decent heller bock from Abita.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a medium two finger beige head. Aroma is sweet with chocolate and malt. Taste is sweet with nuts, caramel, and chocolate mixed maltiness.

On tap at redfish grill. Pours a clear amber with a frothy light tan head that leaves sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is a fruity malt with caramel. The taste is a sweet fruit with raisin and a nice bitter finish. A good doppelbock from abita.

Bomber from BevMo. Dark gold color with a multifinger frothy white head. Aromas of grain and veg and canteloupe? Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is grain, sugar (not kandi), and something like mild noble hop. It starts rather pale malty, but, barring what sticks to your lips, it finishes dryish. Even some hop bitter comes forth in the end. It’s a very different sort of thing. I think it’s rather underrated because it is so far off the beer norms. Keep an open mind folks.

Appearance: Clear yellow
Flavor: Sweet, plus the lager malt characteristics
Palate:Light body, chewy, lots of carbonation
Overall Impression: I remember this being a very fruity beer. Too sweet for my liking, but I could see how someone might enjoy it, if that was there type of beer.
