12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Glen Allen, VA. Pours a hazy peach color with a medium head and good head retention and lacing. Went away for 20 minutes and there’s still a good finger of head. Aroma is very bready with citrus and caramel notes. Taste is bready with sweet citrus notes and a bit of spice. Medum bodied. Pleasant but not very complex.

12oz bottle–pours a foamy white head that laces and hazy yellow color. Aroma is strawberry, grain. Taste is strawberry, grain/wood, spice hops-then some lemon. While the hops aren’t at the front of taste, they do dominate slightly. Towards medium body. Good carbonation. Good, easy, but not watery beer with some hops bite presence. 12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear light copper color with a medium head.Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is toasted malts, caramel and very light pecan notes. Taste is brown sugar and slightly bitter nutty notes. Medium bodied.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, Va. Pours a reddish black with a large head. Decent retention and lacing. Aroma is light roast, caramel and nutty notes, as well as some faint dark fruits. Taste is grassy hops, dark fruits, roasted malts, nuts, sunflower, caramel. Medium bodied. Pleasant brew.

Bottle from BevMo in Elk Grove, CA. As Abita Mardi Gras Bock. Pours a light orange gold color with a moderate white head. Aromas of noble hop and caramel. Medium body with sharpish carbonation. Flavor is caramel with nobel hop, kind of like an amber pilsner. Ends mildly sweet with supporting bitter. Not bad.

12oz shorty bottle. Thick yellow orange, with a fluffy white head. The aroma is all Satsuma, lots of tangy citrus. Tangy orange taste as well, with some pleasant wheat to smooth it out. There is also some vanilla in the aftertaste. Overall a pretty good White beer, exceeding my expectations.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream colored head. Somewhat musty aroma with grapefruit and light malt. Grapefruit and pice flavor with light darker malts. Medium bodied. OK bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with a light vegetal note.

Bomber from BevMo Salinas. Nose is caramel, candi sugar, light fruit, and a light smoky note. Clear rusty red with a big, heavily lacing, beige head. Flavor is light sweetness, caramel, a light bitter note, and some alcohol warmth. Decent Dubbel! Better than most of the other Abita’s I’ve had.

Bomber from BevMo, Salinas. Says it is a Helles Doppelbock on the labelNose was grassy hops, light caramel, and a light vegtal note. Clear yellow with a big yellowish glass-lacing head. flavor is slightly sweet, corny graininess, light pepperiness, and a slight bitterness in the finish.

Cooper color. Kiwis, ctirusy nose. Body is very dry and rather thin, but dangerously drinkable. Backbone isn’t there, but it works with the dryness. Moderately bitter finish. A decent, but not great IPA.
