Bottle from Trafalgar wines, Brighton. Black pour with a wispy beige head. Raisin, black cherry and chocolate aroma. Flavours of coffee, black cherry with some smooth dark chocolate notes. Long sweet finish. Very nice.

From a 500ml bottle on 24/8/2015. Pours a dark golden with a small head. Has a sharp sligtly pungent fruity nose. Take a sip, and it starts with big, syrupy apricot, orange and peach sweetness, with some pine and herbs, followed by a firm, quite astringent, sticky bitterness with some lingering booze. The texture is syrupy and the carbonation soft. While it has some interesting qualities, it’s a little too blunt to really charm.

Pours light and pale straw., bit of white foam. Aroma is greasy, refreshing, bit of malts shining through from beneath. Tastes also quite light and easygoing, malt body supporting it’s hop flavours. Simple and sessionable if anything. Not bad.

500ml bottle. Coppery orange amber colour, with a creamy off-white foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of toffee, orange, hoppy resins. Taste is sweet, bready malt, molasses, toffee, fruity with mango, orange, spicey hop and woody pine bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry malty tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle at Pre-GBBF Shindig 2015. It pours clear deep amber with a decent off-white head. The nose is soft, sweet, oily, candied orange peel, stewed apricot & peach and honeysuckle. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, toasted grain, cereal, bread, leather, wood, toasted grass and some pepper with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit grassy perhaps, but still pretty decent.

Not quite retired it seems. Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy dark amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is sweet malt, sticky toffee caramel fudge. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich bubbly sweet malt, light vinous oak palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A big sweetie with and awesome nose.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Mont Kiara. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light resin hop, biscuit malt, toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter with a nice crisp citrus hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A fresh, easy drinking pale ale.

50 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild herbal and toasted malty. Bitter, mild fruity. Toasted and solid hoppy, peachy and light grapefruity. Toasted and bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Clear amber colour, thin white foam head and aroma of tropical fruits, caramel, hoppy. Flavour is malty, caramel, biscuit, with pine & citrusy spicy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry biscuity bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
