(Bottle 35,5 cl) Reddish brown, hazy beer with a beige-coloured, collapsing head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. And the precise same characteristics are found in the flavour also containing notes of nuts and toffee. Rather light body and mainly dry with a light hoppy finish. A very accessible BA. 011005

Bottle. Orange-amber beer with a whitish head. Sweet malt aroma with some earthy yeastiness. Earthy flavor - spicey, citrus, slight bitterness, some herbal characteristics. Balanced flavor, finishes dry with a lingering earthy dustiness. Very drinkable with a great complex flavor.

This beer has been consumed both on tap and in the bottle. The beer pours a deep, rich dark color with a nice, full, thick tan head. Aromas are malts, coffee, a tinge of chocolate as it warms, and notes of hops lingering in the background. The flavor is loaded with coffee and notes of malts and toffee - with minor alcohol burn. My original review back on 9/10/2005 gave it a 3.7.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick and black with a small brown head that lingered and produced great lacing. The aroma is toasty and malty with fairly strong floral and perfumey hops and a bit of licorice underneath The flavor is sharply hoppy with floral and perfumey notes and has fairly strong notes of cocoa, coffee, licorice and molasses. The finish is long and hoppy with some lingering licorice. Thick and full bodied. Remarkable.

Black with a light brown head. Strong aroma of burned malt, licorice, vineous dried fruits and some apple/citrus freshness. Flavour of dark chocolate in particular, coffee, and hints of smoke and ash. Quite bitter

Pour is a very murky brown with a small tan head. Aroma is of dark malts with a bit of hops in there. Flavor is strong and earthy. Its a very musty, leathery and dark fruits. Alcohol wallops you in the end and maybe a bit to much. Tasty and different and deffinatly a sipping brew.

I thought I was drinking light pale ale. There is only a little wheat flavor, with less unimpressive light hops. Somewhat refreshing. Heavily carbonated. Somewhat sweet, and a little thick.
