what to say ... this is just another insanely good beer. Pours cloudy golden, white head. aroma had a distinct rye nose with nice sweet fruits reminding me of peach and hints of lemon. taste, very lemony, lots of rye, tastes very fresh with the brettanomyces adding a nice finish. Dry palate with some notes of fruits; peach like. Light bitter hops in the finish, with rye.

Tap at Sac Brew. Served in a tulip. Slightly hazy golden color with a few white bubbles. Light citrus/sour aroma. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Refreshing hit of sour/citrus which mellows to a trace of funk. Finishes off to just clean. Have to drink more to keep the thrill.

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil - this is what you want in a berliner weisse - nice full carbonation in the mouth - crisp, fresh wheaty character - dry, lightly acidic and lactic - light white wine character - tangy and tart, bordering on sour, but never going completely there - very refreshing, with lingering wheat/breadiness and mild earthy funk in the finish - lemon and peach throughout - fantastic.

Bottle from South Bay Drug (though I have a spare from Bottle Barn). Orange gold color with a large whitish head. Aroma is spicey over fruit and light malt. Medium body with vigorous carbonation. The brett funk is up front. Next is like sucking peach pits. Lots of sharpish spice. Puckers my mouth - i.e. astringent. Finish is mildly sweet, fruity, funky. It’s the cleanest funk (?) I can recall. The rye finally comes center stage. It’s genuinely mouthsmacking. Perhaps the best Bruery I’ve had so far.

On tap at the Stone Bistro. Pours with a hazed yellow body and a small white head aroma of wheat, citrus, sourness and light lactose. Taste is tart and clean with a bit of citrus. A small amount of quite tingly bubbles with a dry mouthfeel. Good beer. Just had batch 2 out of the fermenter with Tyler. A lot more tartness and good citrus notes. Less of the wheat that made this taste a little soggy. Great example of such a rare style.
Batch 2 again, this time just on draught at the Bruery, Aroma is clean citrus, and sour, taste is very tart, and very clean, wheat presence takes a back seat. Very, very good Berliner Weisse.
