750 mL bottle courtesy of Skyview. Thanks! Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a moderate fizzy head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is bready and yeasty with a bit of grassy and a tart finish. Some nutty and husky notes as well. Taste is citrus, bread, grass. Tart throughout. A bit on the thin side. Smooth.

Courtesy of fogdog. Pours murky white rice water with white head. The aroma is a nice mix of grains, funk, some tartness and then a sense of sweet malts. The taste is crisp and fresh with some lemon acidity, a bit of yeast, some watery sweetness, a tad more tartness and then it seem to head into some grainy malts. Nice stuff.

750 ml. Cloudy, deep golden body. Huge, frothy white head, mostly lasting. The aroma is sweet and funky with notes of spice — mustiness, clove, toasted bread, wood, orange, alcohol. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture and lively carbonation. Sweet, almost sugary, with a slight vinegary taste that sits behind the lasting bitterness. Peppery alcohol, too. The brett is there, but not a big part of the beer. Too sweet and too much alcohol for a saison. Still, it gets points because it is an interesting beer and enjoyable.

Bottle. Poured a hazy pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma was full of tart lemony notes. Flavor was sweet like lemonade with a slightly winey tartness that didn’t match the lemonade flavor that much. It was very light on the tongue.

An opaque yelllow beer with a tall whie head. Huge pieces of yeast and protein, some of the biggest I have ever seen in a beer, the size of dime. Lots of wheat. Some citrus, and grains of paradise.

Bottle, aged about a year or so. Fruity, estery nose, wheat, cream, lightly spicy rye. Deep orange-amber. Very estery flavor, peaches, some banana, apple. Enjoyable, more like a tripel. Quite a bit of rye. 75 cl bottle. 9/13/2009. 6/3/6/3/13. Ok aroma of spices and Belgian yeast, honey and fruits. Fruity, spicy flavor with a strong yeast profile again. Honey and lemon are there with a bit of tartness from the Brett. The best of the batch today, but I think they need a new yeast strain.

12 oz goblet pour at Brouwers Cafe in Seattle, Washington. Pour is fully clouded white yellow with a smallish white head. Looks like juice. Aroma of sour lemon citrus, and earthy horse blanket yeast. Mineral earthiness. Taste is nicely tart sour lemon, lime with the mildly funky yeast behind the tartness. Sour is not aggressive, just nice and soft and smooth - very mellow and integrated, yet enough tart sour to wake it up. Palate is medium - thin, higher carbonation - finish is dry - brightly tart. I was sitting outside in the sun, and this seemed to skunk by the end of the glass. Quite refreshing - went down quick.

On tap at Blue Palms. Hazed amber with a small tan head. Caramel, funk, spice and grape skins. Very nice tartness-acid, grape and rye, a bit of barnyard, light oak and vinous qualities. Medium mouthfeel, tannic. Looking forward to trying more tomorrow at the Bruery. Surprisingly well hidden alcohol on second take. Less vinous, and tannic at the Bruery, spicy and sour.

Simply not the same beer in the 2010 release bottle. For starters this is 8.7% vs. 10, and my lord, the flavor is phenomenal! Huge vanilla and oak notes counter balance the sour flavors and aromas. A very much American sour that is super acidic but has a strong vanilla and oak backbone. Is miles better than the draft versions that I have had in the past! 8/4/9/4/18:4.3
