O’Hara’s Brewery is a family-owned business established in 1996 and one of the pioneers of Irish craft brewing. Located in the heart of Ireland’s traditional malt and hop-growing “Barrow Valley” region which has strong historical linkages to the Irish brewing industry, we are proud to have been at the forefront of the new wave of Irish craft brewing for almost 25 years.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Clear copper colour, small creamy head. Toasty, peaty hay aroma. Dry with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Toasty hay, tobacco and peat. Mid bitter finish.

beautiful appearance of reddish-brown colour and moderate sized creamy beige-ish head; aroma of roasted malt, dried berries, coffee, minimal toasted rye bread and some biscuits, similar taste; correct Irish ale

Can (from KCM Päivölä Seinäjoki). Deep copper colour with a mediumsized supercreamy slightly off-white head, which leaves good lace. Aroma is floral hops, mild berries, spruce and some slight toffee tones. Flavour is berries, wood, some floral hops, mild spruce and some toffeeish tones. Silky smooth palate with a very creamy tasting head. Actually looks better than Guinness...

50cl Blik van Landmarkt. Zwarte kleur, nitro beige kraag. Ziet er top uit. Gebrand, tabak, hint van koffie, zwarte Engelse drop, toenemende tabaksmaak naar de finish toe. Lichte body. OK.

Pours dark toasty amberbrown , med sized very stable abd creamy white head
Scent is toasty , hops and yeast are silent. Taste is toasty malts, bit caramel , but not too sweet. Lacks complexity , hops and yeast are silent.

0,5l on tap @ John McByrne, Nantes. Pours clear amber with a medium creamy head. Aroma is nutty malts with caramel. Flavor is nutty malts, caramel, hops. Not bad.

440ml can. Opalescent, orange, dark golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Zesty, citrusy fruity, minimally piney, hoppy aroma, minimally biscuity, pale malty background, hints of lemon, lemon peel, whiffs of lime. Taste is dry and bitter, grassy, piney and slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, pale malty basis with a touch of salty cracker, hints of lime peel, a touch of lemon, mineral overtones. Oily-watery texture, dry palate, medium to fine, prickly carbonation. Dry and bitter, relatively basic - OK.
