2014 vintage bottle poured. Thanks T! Just knocking off top 10 Strong Ales off the site today I guess. Cheers! Dark near black pour. Aroma is toasty malts, peaty barrels, some toffee. Back to back vintage Lost Abbey brews that have exceeded expectations for standing the test of time. Some slight nutty grain behind big bourbon barrels and dark chocolate stout. Smooth and flavorful blend. Age isn't for every beer, but this was incredible.

Taster at FoBAB. There it's listed as 4.0% abv. And this is my 21st sample this afternoon, so I'm trying to space out with some lower abv's. Clean lager color, light gold with no foam, but has a nice Brett smell. A basic sour Brett beer, no extra fruit to come with it.

Really nice and true to the classical style. Defintely one of the best in style. Firm raw sourness. Nice malty body. Beer temple ams

Poured from a 2021 vintage 750 ml bottle. Aroma is rich and malty with lots of toffee, tootsie rolls, caramel and burnt sugar. Lighter notes of toasted bread and nuts. Light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak. Pours a slightly murky, brown color with auburn hues and a small, thin, tan head that recedes quickly and disappears. No lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of caramel, toffee and burnt sugar. Lighter notes of tootsie rolls, toasted bread and hints of nuts. Medium bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak. Mouthfeel is full bodied with low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid English barleywine. Really nice malt profile and complimentary bourbon notes. Alcohol is well balanced and not overly strong. I like that the ABV isn't crazy high.
