Bottle: Poured a golden color pils with a huge foamy head with limited retention. Aroma of grass and floral malt. Taste also include the grass and floral malt and as well as crisp hops thought I was expecting more hops. Body is fuller then expected. Very enjoyable though it seems I could feel that the bottle had travelled a couple thousand miles.

On draught at "U Obory", Jabkenice: Golden coloured, medium-sized, long-lasting firm head; sweetish-malty aroma with a distinct tinge of floral hoppiness; mainly sweetish-malty taste; light bitter-sweet finish; quite light-bodied; well drinkable, but not terribly impressive; there are better, but unfortunately unknown Lagers in the Czech Republic !

On tap at "U obory", Jabkenice: Very dark amber coloured, medium sized nice lacing head; clean malty aroma with a tinge of molasses, lively caronation; slightly sweetish, distinctive malty taste; drier, bitter aftertaste (with a tinge of chocolate); very well balanced between maltiness and bitterness; quite full bodied. A very good classical Bohemian Dunkel !

Cask at GBBF Very dark brown. Not a lot of aroma, but good malts though in the mouth flavour with some burntness and coffee. Not a bad dunkel with a lasting coffee finish. 3.1 Re-rate bottle at home during the Budvar tasting. Good malt and good choc.

Bottle: Pale golden colour, thin, quickly diminishing white foam; small malty nose (cookies) with some alcoholic and bitter notes; sweet beginning, sweet flavour, nearly no aftertaste, only a tinge of bitterness; disappointing simple !

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Bud - super strong" at 7,2% ABV. Golden without much head. Compared to the "real" Budweiser this is less refined, some of the more subtle touches - e.g. the fruity maltiness - disappear in the strong alcohol burn. And the alcohol is very evident. But not really bad for a strong lager.

(Bottle 50 cl) Incredibly beautiful full golden colour with a rather huge head. Fresh nose of barley. Lots of sweet malt and less bitternes than for instance Urquell. Velvety soft body. Having tried this on tap at the brewery assures me, that this simply must be the world’s best pilsener. No less.

(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Budejovický Budvar Svetlé výcepni pivo". The lighter version of Budweiser is a bit paler and drier than the original. It still has the same lovely malt-haracter though. A very nice light pilsener, and proof that light doesn’t necessarily equal bland.

(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Budejovicky Budvar Free - Nealkoholické pivo". Nice golden, decent head. Impressively this beer contains a lot of the same characteristics as the "real" Budweiser, particularly the nice malt-character. Not bad at all for a NA.
