Pours a nice yellow with a fizzzy short lasting head. Aroma is very skunky. Flavor is a hoppy citrus mix and very bitter at the end. Probably a little more flavor than a Pilsner Urquell. Not a bad over all brew once you get past the skunkyness and much better than that other beer that shares the same name.

Rocky white head, moslty lasting. Good lace. Clear yellow body. Hoppy and yeasty (soap) aroma. Moderately bitter and a bit watery initial flavour and lightly bitter (averagely bitter finish). Light body.

Beautiful golden beer supporting a creamy white head. Nice nose of clean hops and malt. Smooth slightly sweet with a nice bitter finish. I haven’t had as many samples of this as i have had of Pils Urquell, but this probably should get sampled multiple times as well.

Dark golden color with lots of bubbles. Large white, rocky head that lasts for several minutes. Mild fruit aroma with malt and hops. Flavors are sweet and bitter, with corn and sugar. Heavy palate for a pils. Everything a pilsner should be.

An orange beer with no head. The aroma has dominating notes of alcohol, but also plums. The flavor is very simple with clear nots of alcohol and a good palate.

Bottle. Very nice malt aroma. Nice golden color with moderate head. Smooth malt flavor with a mild hops finish. This is by far the smoothest Czech pils I’ve tasted but hops pretty subdued.

Beautiful head, they seem to know how to pour here in Czech Rep. Lovely aromatic, semi-sweet flavour. Can’t seem to trace much aftertaste. Nice mouthfeel. 3 3 7 3 16

Draught. Weak hoppy aroma. Clear golden colour. Stable white head. The flavour starts off quite malty. There is a good clean sweet hoppiness. The bitterness is not very high. Very drinkable. 6 3 7 3 17

Bottle. Nice lasting head. Aroma of alcohol. Flavour is interestingly spicy and peppery with a bit of sweetness to balance it. Not much bitterness nor aftertaste.

Bottle
Not much aroma. Head is white and average. Light amber color. Starts tasteless, ends with small hoppy flavour. Dissapointing Czech beer. (3/3/5/2/9 2.2)
Re-rate, bottled (BB 03/2005)
Golden lager color, small white head. Sweet malty, almost corn-like aroma. Thin, hoppy finish. (3/2/5/2/8 2.0)

Boy, did we have high hopes. Budvar. Even if they produce a non-alcoholic beer, it must be OK, right?? Screw that. Burning garbage lays on top of burning plastic in the nose. The body is metallic and tastes like all other N.A. beers with a mouthfull of garbage and crap added for good measure. Who cares about the finish when you taste and smell this? (Drank with four buddies, four drain pours!)
