Description
Located in a restored Victorian railway shed, just over 50 metres north of Ludlow railway station, the building has been fully refurbished to latest building standards and houses a 20 barrel brewing system. Ludlow Brewery produces award winning high quality ales right in the heart of the beautiful town of Ludlow.

Small batch, 'craft' forward beers are released under the name 'Derailed' on a small 2.5 barrel kit on the same premises by the same brewing team.

[September 2023] Dark brown, near black, with bubbly/frothy tan head. Big vanilla ice cream vibes on the nose, with a hint of smokiness. Smooth, creamy and sweet with vanilla, chocolate, mellow coffee and dark malt all in the mix

Near black with a creamy/frothy tan head and soft roasted malt on the nose. Smooth and creamy with roasted malt, some chocolate and dry coffee bitterness

Keg half-pint at the brewery on 7th November 2023. Hazed milky yellow, white crown. Tropical fruit aroma and taste with pineapple to the fore, other citrusy fruits come and go, each adding sweetness or bitterness to the mix.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival 2023. Pours dark, beige head. Aroma of vanilla, espresso and dark chocolate malt. Creamy palate with a nice integration of vanilla and dark malt with some good espresso notes in the shadows. Contender for beer of the festival!

Keg @ Cromwell's Tap House. Pours a hazed golden yellow with a good white head. Smooth tropics form the base of its character, with strong pineapple and banana notes coming through well. Lovely fruity haze.

As Ludlow Silent Knight. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are rich chocolate malty and bitter. Light sweetness. Rich smooth body.

500ml bottle from Hop Vault, Stourbridge. Pours clear gold with a white cap. Aroma: sweetish malts, some citrus, grass. The taste follows, light sweet & bitter. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Fair.
