Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bronze color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma is very strong with piney and fruity hops. The flavor is very strong with piney and fruity hops with an impressive sweet malty base and a sweet fruity hop finish. The mouthfeel is moderately thick. The beer is intensely hoppy and bitter on the front but mellows into a wonderful malt balance. Excellent.

Draught at EBF ’06. Clear, bubbly copper-amber body has a small, compact off-white head atop it, fairly well retained with little to no lacing. Straightforward C-hops nose is nonetheless very clean, crisp and aromatic, with a tea-like dryness, lemon-lime tartness and a touch of drying alcohol. Malt is somewhat pushed to the side, to showcase the hops, but consists of light pale malt sugars, not overly caramelly, but more dry and slightly grainy. The flavor serves strong floral and citrus hops, lemongrass, lime zest, leafy, green fuzziness and light, fresh dill and basil suggestions. Low residual sweetness, with a dry, lean malt structure contributing to the concentration of hop juiciness. But perhaps also a bit too much dryness. High amount of hop bitterness on the end, moderate to high amounts of carbonation. Texture, aside from the carbonation, is lean and rather unremarkable. No alcohol apparency, no real yeast apparency.

Bottle Pours a clar deep amber, with a nice sandy colored head. Lots of sturdy, sticky lacing. Nice aroma of hops that really comes through. Their dry hopping process and a great effect. Full feel, nice and heavy. PLeasant bitter aftertaste. Nice example of the style.

Bottle Pours a clear deep mahogany. Nice thick tan head and heavy sheeting lacing. Soft woody malt aromas. Some dusty musty, notes as well I cant put my finger on. Flavors are quite subdued and uninteresting. Lightly roasted malts, wody, slightly sweet, with a wierd cardboard bitter aftertaste. Actually a bit surprised to see this w/ such a high style percentile. Not bad over all though
