Poured a murkier gold than the centennial with a white fizzy head. Hoppy aroma, but nothing noticeable. Flavor was nice, sweet, citrus, slightly hoppy, but average. Clean finish. Drinkable.

This scottish ale looks, smells and tastes like a micro-porter. Watery looking black with brown hues with a whispy white head. Malty roasted aroma. Initial flavor was very nice, malty, roasted, coffee and sweet. Clean finish with more malt and roast, hides the alcohol well. The best I had at SBC.

All of SBC’s brews are brewed on site and in small batches. That being said, the batch I had of this sucked. The highlight of my night was telling the head brewer what a crappy stout this was. Watery film over the top of this light brown colored beer with absolutely no head. This beer looked more like a cappucino with no foam. No aroma at all, no malt or hop. Flavor was completely muddled, no roasted flavor, no malt, it was like drinking nothing. No finish. Disappointed in this batch.

All centennial hops in this IPA. Gold body with a white fizzy head. Floral and citrus nose, nice and not overpowering. Flavor is fruity, slightly malty, hoppy, citrus. Clean, bitter, hoppy finish. Nice beer.

A hazy orange beer with a lazing light beige head. The aroma is sweet and slightly hoppy, but also with a light malty note. The flavor is sweet with a crisp malt note, leading to a dry nice bitter finish.

A deep red beer with a huge brown head - the color is too light for a Stout. The aroma is sweet with a weird roasted note as well as a light coffee note. The flavor is rather sweet to start off with, but then comes a dry roasted note combined with light notes of vanilla and coffee. I find it a bit like an iced-coffee.

Bottled - tastes kind of like a strong version of an esb - loads of sweet, bready malt and a heaping helping of caramel - a nice mix of light a dark fruit, a gentle, nutty flavor - background rolled oats - a little overly sweet, but otherwise nice.

Super hazy muddy amber/orange/brown coloured body that looks like apple cider more than anything else. Aroma of fresh hops, yeast and a bunch of sugars, even though this bottle is about 2 years old. Light to Medium-bodied; Sharp hop flavour, high in alpha acids with a pungent yeastiness and some sweetness, all with a good malt backbone. The hops hit first and hard, then fade off. Aftertaste shows a lot of yeast and unfinished wort, rather than a full-fleged beer. Overall, a decent beer, especially for being over two years old. I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Shenendoah Brewery in Alexandria, Virginia a long while ago and sampled it on 19-February-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
