Description
Since our inception on a commercial scale in 2008 we have evolved as a brewery immeasurably.
The Brewery has moved up several gears in the past 12 months & is now growing at an alarming rate!

We as a team have grown with the brewery. Started in 2008 with Directors James Farran, Andy Baker & Meyrick Kirk the brewery now has a fulltime drayman, a head brewer, a managing director & soon to be further additions to the team.

We are a brewery with an extreme passion & a strong identity, our beers are unapologetically flavour forward in nature, hop & malt laden beers that challenge today's modern beer lover. Beers with heart, soul & raging personality.

In the coming years we plan to continue to grow by fervently pushing the boundaries of what is possible when brewing beer, to excite you the deserving beer connoisseur who should settle for nothing less than than beers that excite & ensare your senses. We invest heavily in our beers with LOTS of the very best ingredients, why settle for beers that don't?

Okay orangey head and orangey-gold body, lots of carbonation. Aroma is heavy malt surrounded by sharp hops, peach and grapefruit, leichee, sharp tropical citrus. Flavour is heavy hops tempered by barley notes which makes it more like a pumpernickel bread finish that your usual super-citrusy hop explosion IPA. So a bit of good complexity there but I’m not entirely convinced they are working well together. No notice of the heavy booze so kudos to them for that. I think this would be an acquired taste as it’s a bit of a darker double IPA than I’ve found elsewhere.

Modest head disappearing quickly. Lots of carbonation. Boring gold body. Aroma is a mix of hops and pine-sol, which reminds me, really gotta mop my floor when I get home. Flavour is an odd mix of cigarette ash and hops, some lemon on the finish. Crisp on the mouth though. If you’d ask me to session an IPA it wouldn’t be this one.

Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops. Hazy gold beer, massive pale cream colour head. Fluffy palate, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet. Nice Nelson grape and gooseberry. Less welcome apple. Semi sweet floralness. Trace of hop spice. But for the apple, could have been a corker.

Keg at the Old Red Cow - London. Pours clear, rich brown with a dense, creamy off-white head. The aroma holds burnt pine, toasted grains. Light to medium sweet flavour, a little nutty, toasty, with bitter earth and pine, faint bittersweet cocoa. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Bitter on the finish, with more earth, charred pine, burnt grains. Pretty good stuff.

Keg at the Old Red Cow - London. Pours clear yellow-god with a creamy, white head. The nose holds lots of pithy citrus, some rind, grapefruit. Light sweet flavour with fairly assertive bitterness (but balanced), with further pithy grapefruit, rindy lemon. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Pleasantly bitter on the finish, with notes of pine, rind, crispy biscuit. Really solid. Quenching.

Clear amber beer. White head. Malty rye aroma. Flavour has the same qualities, with some apple and something a bit more sour that I can’t place. It’s the sourness that lingers.
