Description
QUALITY. COMMUNITY. CAMARADERIE.
Call to Arms Brewing Company was founded by three fellas who met whilst partaking in a shared passion — brewing, cellaring, and packaging beer at Avery Brewing company in Boulder, CO. As veterans of the craft beer community with a combined 20 years of experience, we decided to blaze our own trail and leave a lasting imprint on the industry and in the city we love. This is our Call to Arms.
Brewer owned and operated, Call to Arms places the utmost importance on the quality of our product and the taproom experience for our guests. Blending our backgrounds and cultures, we choose to focus on a love of local, traditional food and drink and to create a timeless, relaxed, non-pretentious neighborhood-friendly brewery focusing on craft beers, community gathering, and good ol’ fashioned fun. We take our beer seriously, yes. But we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Our goal is to make good beer, and we like to have fun while doing just that.

Can - clear dark amber - nose of herbal hops, dark bread, raisin - clean, with moderate carbonation and medium body - dry, but rich maltiness - a lot of dark bread through the middle that is cleaned away by a drier, toastier finish that has an ending swell of herbal and floral hoppiness - solid tmavy.

12 oz. can from Hops & Pie. Pours black, with a thick, brown head. The aroma is strong maple syrup, with a harsh roasty coffee, walnuts, caramel, and pine sap. Very dry and quite bitter. Heavy body, with a hard, sticky, and astringent palate. Driest and most abrasive stout I've had in a while, but clearly quality and delicious.

Can - turbid light gold - they put a lot of New Zealand hop varietals in this - creates a complex blend of juicy citrus on the front end, and herbal and peppery spice on the back end - finishes tropical and juicy - it’s a well-done take on the style.
