Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, cinnamon, honey, agave, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, tequila, toasted oak, roasted nuts, biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of licorice, molasses, toffee, raisin, fig, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted/oaky earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, cinnamon, tequila barrels, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, cinnamon, tequila barrels, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a fantastic roasted bitter/sweet and cinnamon/oak spiciness balance; with no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly slick/sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mild increasing warmth 11.3%, and lingering cinnamon/tequila heat. Overall this is an amazing barrel aged flavored imperial stout! All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, cinnamon, tequila barrels, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish; amazingly soft/silky feel for the ABV. Perfectly balanced super rich malts, fruity/nutty coffee, cinnamon, and tequila barrel presence/integration. Mild hops/fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and top tier quality style example. Probably the best tequila barrel aged beer I've ever had. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Accurate morning beer, instant flash backs of pancake stacks and coffee, chocolate and tons of maple syrup. Thick and flashbacky. I miss the old labels, and the old lounge, and the old funky Buddha. This is still solid chocolate maple pancake candy bars.

650ml bottle. Heavy with coconut, roasty malts, vanilla, syrup, oak and bourbon. Loads of coconut, but not as heavy with pastry notes as some other recent coconut stouts I've tried. Quite balanced.
