Hazy straw colour with abundant tiny bubbles and thick, plateauing head. Hoppy nose (grass, calamansi) with peppery alcohol/dusty Belgian yeast notes and sweet, seabreezy malts. On the palate, however, it’s kind of dullish, especially the malts, which plod along like undercooked Wonderbread. The hops, too, lack zip, losing the citrus and leaving just a little bit of spiciness. Yeast is still too much of a factor here, muddling the rest of the components in ways not suitable for a pilsner. The finish is getting towards wateriness, accented only by the dull malts. I won’t go so far as to call it cultus, but it’s not skookum either.

comes in what is pretty much the most metal bottle ever conceived. + points for that. Beer is dark as night and the head is as brown as Bigfoot’s fur. The delightful head leaves us a little bit too soon though. Smells roasted coffee like and all. There is a taste of coffee in the beer with a little alcohol tinge somewhere around there. It isn’t full bodied, but it feels like something is going on...

Hazy gold, small lasting white head.Light fruity nose and taste. Somewhat watery, and either the wrong type of, or not enough hops. The worst effort so far from this brewer.

650 bottle from BC Liquor store, Vancouver. I carried these bottles through Seattle to Portland and I think this was the last one. Black beer with tan lasting head. Very dry stout. Bit empty in mouth. Some charcoal. OK if not exciting

Bottled. Hazy golden with small creamy head. Lychee aroma. Dryish with firm body and clen mouthfeel. Lingering very bitter finish . This beer is all about the aromatic hops - I find it great!
