12oz bottle pours clear effervescent gold with white head. The aroma is lemon acidity at times and sugary cotton candy marshmallow at other times. The taste does offer up a decent dose of lemon like citrus with some acidity. Behind that is sort of a sweet floral cotton candy like sensation and a bit of grainy malts. OK, summer brew, eh? Maybe this is better when super fresh and what I have maybe isn’t super fresh.

Chocolate and coffee aroma, with just a touch of aloe. Mahogany, thick beige head. Moderately strong flavor of oak and fig. Milk chocolate is dominant from start to finish. Alcohol not noticeable. Body is thin, but this is a damn tasty beer. Easy to enjoy.

Light butterscotch nose. Cola brown, thin tan head. Soy sauce and slightly rancid meat flavor. Butterscotch and char appear toward the end. Malty bitterness. Does not compete favorably in a style with so many stellar examples.

Lemon zest aroma. Clear amber, medium yellow head. Overripe clementines with light lilly accents. Orange peel finish. Standard IPA, good balance.

Spruce nose, delightfully strong. Clear amber, no head. Spruce and pine flavor. Piney, sessionable, and not overdone. Fresh and green, little backbone, but that’s ok.

Barley malt nose with traces of cherries. Dark amber, thin yellow head. Astringent flavor of cardboard. Finishes with white grape skins. Not a particularly good example of the style.

Bottle shared with Sander’s place, NYC. Pours clear, glowing orange with a small, white head. Aroma of orange marmelade, caramel, honey. Medium sweet flavor, more caramel and honey malts, some citrusy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some spicy hops, orange, honey. Decent.

Pours a solid blackness with a decent sized fluffy tan head that persists and makes lace. Wow that smells pretty good. Lots of coffee and chocolate draped over some oaky vanilla and some vinous notes. It falls apart a bit in the flavor department though. Same creamy chocolate and coffee draped over vanilla and oak, but add a bit too much tannin bite and a weird but faint plastic phenolic. Medium to thick body with a moderate level of carbonation and a creamy thick smooth mouthfeel. This ones not bad but I could take it or leave it.
