Founded by partners in life and work, Charles Porter and Brenda Crow, Little Beast is a family brewery with a passion for making great beer and sharing it with others.
We craft wild, wood-aged and blended beer naturally with diverse cultures, including Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and wild flora. By harnessing the little beasts that ferment our beer, we capture their untamed beauty and produce farmhouse beers that are diverse in flavor and rare in character.

Pint can. pours a clear gold color with a small white the soon disappears. The aroma is medium in strength with pine resins and some pineapple. The taste is bitter hops forward with pine, grapefruit, and pineapple. The malt base is somewhat bready with just a touch of sweetness. The palate is light and crisp with lively carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering bitter pine. Overall: Decent IPA.

On tap at Portland taproom. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Aroma has bourbon up front with some roasted malts underneath; green peppers and burnt cooking oil kind of spoil this one. Flavour has bourbon up front, burnt oil, and a boozy finish. Clumsy and incompetent.

On tap at Portland taproom. Pours cloudy pale yellow with white head. Aroma has pineapple, coconut, and white rum. Flavour is much the same; pineapple is very prominent. Does what it says on the box.

On tap at Portland taproom. Pours murky brown with a beige head. Aroma has a stringent sourness and balsamic notes. Flavour is balsamic with notes of red wine, dried dark fruits, and acidity on the back of the palate. Great dark fermented fruit flavours.
