Bottle @ First Official Randers Tasting. Pours clear pale yellowish with small, bubbly white head. Clear aroma of fermented apples and pears and some vnous touches. Sweetish onset of pears, quickly giving way to sourish notes of apples, complemented by dusty notes. Sourish aftertaste with subtle, sweetish hints. Good.

[ As Val de Rance Blanc de Pomme ].
Clear light to medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate pear - apple, sweet pear, sugary, pear syrup - juice. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pear, apple, sugary, syrup - juice. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20150124]

Sweetish-tart apples in the nose. The cider starts sweetish, easy to drink. Not too tart, nice but low tannins, fruity. A bit like tart apple juice with a few tannins. The aftertaste is fruity-sweetish, a bit tart-adstrigent, nice-round. A good doux 2% cider.

750 mL bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville, opened 10/28/14. Pours an effervescent clear copper with a thin fizzy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of sweet apples, brown sugar, sawdust and a mildly tart bite. The taste is sweet apples, brown sugar, earth, yeast, tannic finish. Medium bodied, highly carbonated, too sweet.
