Dark copper-amber colour. Off-beige, quickly dissipating head. Slightly toasty aroma, with minerally notes. Rather sweet underpinning that on most sips takes on cloying form but some toasty notes and perhaps even aromatic hops as well. A little different, but I wouldn't say in a good way.

Golden coloured lager with a crisp malty nose and light hops. Crisp malt tatse with very german style bitterness, slightly floral Light to medium body, very honest lager. A quick note, this flawless beer was used for its "normalcy" to test defaults in beers (via verious spikes or mistreatment of the beer).

This cream ale pours a amber colour with a frothy white head. Strong dough scents with maybe caramel? First sip was also a little doughy but watery at the finish. A little taste of malt/caramel. Next to no palate though...sad!

Another one that I've had a few times before but never got around to rating. Served in my slender Thomas Kemper Honey Weizen glass (the glass from which I first sampled my all time favourite cream ale, Rogue Honey Cream). Light bronze colour, with minimal head. Grassy, faintly herbal hop aroma atop of light biscuity malts. Soft malt palate reminds of wonder bread and cookie dough. Hops are around 18-20 IBUs, and gently grassy. This is a simple beer, with little if anything besides those two elements. Slightly prickly carbonation. Light finish borders on wateriness.

Light body. Sweet - icing sugar, some understated banana and phenols. Pale tan, cloudy, not so much head though. Slightly grassy notes, phenols, banana, sweet malts in the aroma. A little wet in the finish. I like the structure, but it's too light on the palate for my tastes.

Re-sample: more robust than previous tastings. Hop notes far more apparent now, with good earthy malts. Nicely balanced, still a touch light but has achieved legitimate IPA status in my mind and is worthy of my attention down the road.

It has its moments, but they are few and far between. The aroma has at times been absolutely wonderful. Other times, it’s AWOL. The flavour has ranged from astringent burnt to smokey-crystal malty.
