30/9/2022. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours slightly hazy dark gold with minimal head. Aroma is musty, woody, tangy apple, stone fruits, lightly funky. Light to moderate sweetness, light bitterness, moderate tartness. Medium body, slightly oily, lightly fizzy. Good.

30/9/2022. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours cloudy very pale orange gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of pungent pear, musty grape, wood, flowers, rice wine. Quite heavy sweetness, moderate tartness. Medium body, slightly oily, light spritzy carbonation. Sweet, tannic, dry, astringent finish. Enjoyed this.

Taste comprises apple pulp, light funk, tannins, oak, orchard wood, apple skin, bitter sweet close. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid apple jus.

Taste comprises sweet but balanced pear, sugars, honey, tannins, light rum. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Solid stuff.

Taste comprises toffee apples, orchard wood, tannins, well balanced peated whisky, hay bale, light funk, toasted brown sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a kick of alcohol. Solid flavoursome affair.

Bag-in-a-box at the New Union, Kendal. Hazy pale yellow. Ooh, now, this one is interesting. Lemon, barnyard funk, pear and lime. Sweetish, tart and full of flavour. Really more-ish, really good and very different. I shall look out for this producer in future.

Nose is caramelised apples, light funk, sugars, apple skins, dusty orchard fruits. Taste comprises bitter sweet apple, just a hint of acidity, tannins, farmyard tones, light funk, sugar dusting. Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, modest drying close. Solid well balanced and flavoursome apple jus.
