Description
Founded on July 1st 2016, Brouwerij De Feniks is all about Living your Passion (in our case : brewing the great beers we love and helping others do to the same) and keep doing what you love no matter what. As you only live once, you will find out at some point that it pays off on emotional/satisfaction and many other levels to follow your passion. Under adversity, if you stumble and fall, or even crash and burn, remember that you can Always rise from your ashes like the mythical Feniks bird as long as you keep believing and continue to live that passion... And if you do, have a great beer on us !

Bottle at home. Clear golden with white head. Sweet malts, light peach, orange, soft yeasty, sugar, light tropical fruits. Soft earthy and leafy hops. It has a bit of condensed milk and baby vomit too, lightly wrong milky stuff. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. Just like the regular version there’s something weird that I really dislike, though there’s also some nice notes too it. Meh.

Almost black with quick fading fizzy head. Initial aroma is of overwhelming bready yeast. Later the cardomom comes through a lot. The texture is a bit thin and the carbonation is too intense. Lots of aniseed. Overall it's too spicy.

Bottle at home. Bit hazy amber with big fluffy beige head. Light toast, honey, sweet malts, paper, soft grassy hops, kumquats, dusty, bitter dried fruit peel. Medium sweet and over medium bitter. Medium bodied. Well, the name is missing some French words and this is not an IPA. It’s quite bitter though and has some decent malts. Not something I’d drink again.

Hazy pale blond with lasting fluffy head. Aroma really has a lot of orange zest. The yeast gives a strange bittersweetness

Black with a head that fizzes out in seconds. Strong aroma of burnt malts and coffee. Body is surprisingly thin and light. Most of the flavour comes through in the aftertaste. Heavy carbonation lets this one down.

Pale blond and hazy. Aroma and flavour have very soft and subtle drying hop notes. Also some light pale malts. Very well balanced.

Hazy blond with thick fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have a nice balance of spicy yeast and fruity, floral hop. Very good 'Belgian IPA'
