Description
Founded on July 1st 2016, Brouwerij De Feniks is all about Living your Passion (in our case : brewing the great beers we love and helping others do to the same) and keep doing what you love no matter what. As you only live once, you will find out at some point that it pays off on emotional/satisfaction and many other levels to follow your passion. Under adversity, if you stumble and fall, or even crash and burn, remember that you can Always rise from your ashes like the mythical Feniks bird as long as you keep believing and continue to live that passion... And if you do, have a great beer on us !

14/VIII/17 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: III/2019 (2017-1214)

Clear dark brown beer, big aery irregular beige head, falls down quickly, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: liquorish, ripe banana, soft roast, caramel, some chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, lots of ripe banana, some chocolate, some bitter hops, soft spicy touch. Aftertaste: bit roasted, overripe banana, some chocolate, dried fruits, bitter touch, spicy, some coriander, bit dusty in the finish. I guess I'm used to much more spicy things, cause I didn't get any chillies.

11/VIII/17 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: II/2019 (2017-1200)

Pretty clear orange beer with a peach colour shine to it, bit aery irregular white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, cuberdons (forest fruit flavoured candy from Belgium), bit floral, cookie dough. MF: lively carbon, to much to be enjoyable. Medium body. Taste: bit chemical, orange peel, sweet malts, spicy touch, ginger. Aftertaste: more orange peel, bit watery, spicy, yeast, bit sugary, unpleasant bitterness, some mandarins, more citrus fruits, some weird flavour, I'm guessing (dead?) yeast... Don't feel like drinking another one of these.

Clear orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, irregular, pretty stable, bit adhesive, leaving some rings of lace in the glass when drinking. Aroma: a bit fruity, sweet malts, grains, some caramel, some tropical fruits, yeast, mango. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, rather sweet, some citrus, soft bitterness, bit sugary, bit yeasty. Aftertaste: sweet, some yeast, caramel malts, soft bitterness, alcohol noticeable, some cookies, grains. Not really and ipa, but then again, I wasn't expecting it to be one...
