Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a black glow and a nice, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright grassy and piney hops with some floral and aromatic notes, but the roasted malt shows through as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and floral hop notes with a lot of alpha acids, some nice rich toffee and caramelised sugar elements along with a pungent earthiness from the roasted malts. Aftertaste shows a great balance of malt and hops with a smooth, almost creamy finish. Overall, a nice rich Black IPA with a lot of flavours, but the balance of the elements is everything - a lot of hop bitterness around, but the malt makes it robust and rich throughout and not just on the hop side of things. Worth sampling if you can find this and if you like either Porters/Stouts or IPAs. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from IGA Grocery near Berri-UQAM in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 18-September-2016 for CA$6,99 sampled at home in Washington on 07-November-2016.

Gorgeous honey gold & hazy body; huge, healthy head that froths. Smell and flavor are a bit soapy with citrus zest and a mineral bitternes

Nice roasted feel with some bittersweet chocolate. Nothing to reinvent the style but tasty.

Murky orange-amber color. Mild but nice cherry aroma, some bread, cherry pit. Dry mouthfeel, well carbonated, a bit woody and astringent, lightly fruity.
Nice.

Tasting at Alex’s. 500ml bottled on 10-Jun-2016. Aroma and taste are wild yeasts with some cherry notes. Quite pleasant.

Bottle: Poured a light reddish color ale with a medium size foamy head with limited retention and some carbonation. Aroma of Brett notes with light tart cherry is enticing. Taste is a mix of Brett notes with tart cherry with little residuals sugar notes. Body is full with medium to low carbonation level. Not the best beer I’ve had from this brewery with some lack of attenuation and cohesion between the flavours.

500mL bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks a lot, Youri), pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal and grassy notes, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, some woody notes, and grassy notes. Lacking oomph even for a sub-4% beer. Meh.

500mL bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks a lot, Youri), pours a clear copper golden with a large white foamy head. Aroma brings out lovely funky wild yeast, with a slight floral hoppy tinge to them, some stone fruits, and some cereal sweetness. Flavour follows similarly, with a highly floral hoppy quality to it upfront, followed immediately by the funky brett, a little stone fruit, and finishing floral, earthy and with low-medium sweetness. Seems similar to the Farmhouse Houblon, with the great mix of hops and funk. Not overly complex, but everything works well together and it is highly drinkable. Very good.
