Light brown body with white head. Malty aroma. Heavy malt taste with a hop edge. Full finish. Drink it now or you won't be able to get it until September.

Canned 12/18/25, drunk 3/26/26.
Wow smells like a glass of tropical fruit juice. Huge tangerine juice vibes, too. The thiolizing yeast just pumping out the fruitiness, good god. Sparse malts behind it, showing mostly cracker, but it's low in bitterness so doesn't seem a problem.
Hugely fruity with vibrant but not overdone bitterness. Maximum fresh squeezed citrus juice with lots of tropical fruit accents like kiwi, passionfruit and papaya. Body is very light and I wouldn't hate a boost there, though as mentioned, it's not overly bitter so it doesn't need a lot of balancing malt. There's a bit of chalky, earthy dullness on the end, not quite sure what it's from. Doesn't quite carry through from start to finish, but boy did they get quite the fresh squeezed juice character up front.

Can.
A- Golden yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head.
A- Lemon, grapefruit.
F- Grapefruit pith,, lemon rind, subtle grass, bitter, faint lactose.
T- Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, bitter finish.
O- Okay, wanted a bit more lemon or citrus flavor as the name makes me really think meringue pie. Felt pillowy on the mouthfeel. I suppose this hits that in typical IPA fashion but it just wasn't quite for me.

Reviewed from notes. Bottle purchased 02/28/2018 and consumed the same day.
This was poured into a tulip.
Appearance: dark purple close to black color with a slim cap of a foamy head which disintegrated practically immediately, obviously, no lace
Aroma: sweet & tart black raspberries, vinous sweet, funky, Brett/sour, and a touch of sweet wood
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine tart to sour while a light sweet slides in for more balance; finishes sour/Brett-like with the black raspberries
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper! Light smoothness but nice level acidic sour tones nick the tongue just a little bit as I expected it to.
Overall: an absolutely awesome black raspberry saison I would definitely welcome again.
