Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a cloudy amber with a frothy off-white head leaving quite some lacework. Fruity nose with quite some Brett. Medium body, sweet fruitiness, there’s a dry tart berry note probably from the Pinot Noir barrel combined with a pleasant funky Brettyness. Ends dry with some hops showing. Calling this a Saison is probably stretching the borders of the style, but it sure is a nice beer. 290212

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of fruits, malt, and straw. The flavor berries, hops, malt, and a bit of fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a hazy golden with a rich and lacing white head. Lovely fruity, woody aroma combined with quite some Brett. Rich body, an amazingly complex array of fruit combined with the subtle notes of the Chardonnay barrel. And then comes a very solid dose of bitter hops rushing in with the Brett mostly acting like a pleasant spice. All components are working in the same direction in this delicious brew. 290212

Had this at Ratebeer’s Horny Devil Pittsburgh Winter Tasting 2012. Big thanks to Lithy for this brew! Almost orange but yet quite yellow. Slightly hazy. Big bubbly head then fades rapidly. Interesting mild aroma. First taste is quite bitter, beerwise. Gets better as the tasting continues. Yes, each sip starts a little bitter then evolves to a medium grapefruit rind flavor. Fine creamy CO2. Finish is a little more over the top than I can care for. However, hides alky fairly well, you’d never know this was 8%.Thanks Justin for the chance to try this rarity!

750ml bottle. Hazy bright yellow with small macropore white head. Wonderful spicy, yeasty and sour aroma. Complex taste has an underlying sweet wheat malt note, sour citrus, spicy coriander and pepper, some yeast in the end. Very good.

Hazy orange body that throws up a tall, long-lasting, sticky white head. nice lacing. Citrus hop aroma is mixed with a yeasty leather one. The flavor is a strong hoppy bitterness with an underlying Belgian yeast tang. The malts are totally in a support role in the back of this flavor profile. Interesting beer. One of the best examples of Belgian IPA. It definitely has Belgian characteristics and IPA characteristics which many of these fail to demonstrate clearly..
