14 September 2022. At Old Irving Brewing, Chicago. Shared with the lovely Anke!
Hazy ochre, small, white head. Aroma of apricot, plum, fruit cake, cinnamon, biscuit, starfruit. Taste has sour starfruit & unripe apricot; cake-like, wheaty malt body with spicy cinnamon. Tart, yellow-fruity finish, lingering cinnamon & lemon (acid). Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Balanced refreshing brew.

Clear golden, thin, white head. Aroma of 'Fruittella' candy (strawberry, lemon), honey, fruit cake, yoghurt, lemon peel. Taste has sweet strawberry, raspberry & lemon candy, bit sour over doughy maltiness. Tart, strawberry-like finish, some retronasal bread & jam. Medium body, slick-sticky texture, average carbonation. Weird combination but works okay.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is a toasted caramel malt. Flavor is a nice dry bready malt with some toffee and caramel but finishes dry. This is like drinking a Werther's original. Decent beer of a style not often found.

Pour is a hazy gold with a large white head. Aroma is a honey and what malt with lots of grassy hops. Flavor is a nice chewy sweet malt with more grassy and herbal hop. This was a tasty beer that was close to what the style should be.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of chocolate, black licorice, almonds, vanilla, coffee. Pours inky black with a half finger tan head with decent retention. Taste is moderately bittersweet with a hint of acidity, finishing lightly dry. Mouthfeel is silky, softly carbonated. Lots of dark chocolate, some almond, vanilla and granola.

Can from Tavour. Pours light, bright copper with a decen white head. Aroma of almost toffee, but more like that in a Tmavy. Med body. Flavor is rather like that of a Tmavy, with some light citrus and floral. Maybe a touch of spice towards the finish. Nicely done.

Can from Tavour. Pours almost opaque amber with a huge creamy beige head that went foamy. Aroma of citrus, mango and melon. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is citrus, earthy, mango, melon, weed notes. Wants to be dank. Yet it is somewhat juicy and not wholly dry. Lots of hop tho, and it is more than moderately bitter. The malt support is strong. This is heavy duty stuff.

Can from Tavour to glass. Nicknamed The Goat Rumbler by my daughter. Aroma is rich malt, bready. Clear copper-gold with ivory head that fades to a collar of small bubbles. Effervescent in the glass. Taste is large malt and a bit of an unusual orange-type of flavor. Seems to have alcohol heat, which was unexpected for the ABV. Finishes quick with a bit of a bitter spike.
