Description
In 2009 starten Thijs Maenhout en Birgit De Rammelaere met een kleine brouwerij in een voormalige bouillonfabriek tussen Tielt en Meulebeke. In 2014 verhuizen zij naar Pittem omdat de capaciteit van de brouwerij niet meer voldoende bleek. Begin 2015 draait de nieuwe brouwerij, met een capaciteit van 1200 hectoliter, op volle toeren.

Sampled at THT June. Clear golden with big white head. Sweet malts, soft caramel, light spicy yeast, coriander, light alcohol, soft dough, a touch of cardboard. Quite sweet, almost medium bitter. Over medium bodied.

Bottle shared at THT June ‘19. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of herbs, citrus, yeast and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Piwo ma srednia piane srednio trwala, bardzo metna i brudna barwe, zapach ziemisty, przypominal mi ziemnaki, a wlasciwie ich skurke lub same nawet obierki, w smaku ziemniaczano-pokrzywowe, dziwne, zle nie bylo ale dla mnie jakies odjechane w dziwnym kierunku

Bottle at marktzicht. Aroma of espresso, chocolate, malt, caramel and roasted coffee. Taste has roasted coffee, cherry, caramel, milk chocolate, malt and earthy vanilla. Very nice.

Fast disappearing dark-cream head over jet-black beer. Intensely roasted, musk & spirit nose, whisky, but also curry herbs, coffeebeans, dark green leaves. Very roasted, sweet-bitterish flavour, breadcrust, melanoidin-rich malts, ink, musk. Don't get chocolate, however, strange. Very rich, creamy texture, bit oily but not chewy. Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker nr Gent, Belgie and consumed at home, Attenkirchen, Bavaria, Sunday 20th April whilst making Saffron and Lemon Chicken and also Saffron and Rosemary Chicken and listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul on 6 Music. Pours black with a tan head. Dirty toffee, chocolate, thick in the mouth. A little bit of a chilli burn, smooth and very good Imperial stout.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a great deal of roasted malts and bitter coffee. Very rich and intense.

33 cl. bottle @ Robert's Pub, Veenendaal. Hazy orange yellow white a white head. Fruity yeasty aroma with a light hoppy touch. Sweet taste with a sweet-bitter finish. Very Belgian.

33cl bottle. A almost clear dark golden beer with a white head. Aroma of yeasty pale fruits, belgian yeast. Taste of moderate sweet yeasty fruits, peach, hints of honey.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Slightly hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of soft caramel, light fruity and citrusy. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, caramel, light resin, soft fruity hoppy flavour, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Not very IPA-ish but a pleasant beer nonetheless.
