on tap at Lizzy’s in Orlando, pours dark murky brown with a medium frothy tan head. Aroma is full of chocolate, but the oatmeal is present as well. Flavors are very rich, tons of chocolate, thin coffee, and lots of creamyness. So, so good.

on tap at Lizzy’s in Orlando, pours carmel straw color with a medium white head. Nice straw and hop aroma. Very nice IPA balanced with just enough maltyness and very dry in the bitter pine finish. I really enjoyed this, it’s a very easy drinker.

Pours mahogany with edges of dark ruby and nice light tan head leaving some spotty lacing. The aroma has a mix of minty peppermint, a touch of nuttiness and roast achieving a modest non mint candy sort of smell. Interesting. The taste begins with a moderate amount of roast, nuttiness and chocolate. It then picks up a pleasing mint note from about midway and building somewhat into the finish. Wow, nice treatment with a refreshing and pleasing mint going on for minutes into the aftertaste.

Pours deep copper to amber with thin off white head. The aroma is candied prunes, brown sugar, modest vanilla, dark fruitiness and a touch of citrus. The vanilla makes the aroma seem barrel aged on the occasional whiff. Interesting. The taste is oh so smooth and sweet with vanilla, sweet vanilla and rich vanilla. That robust note carries into some dark fruity notes and hints of citrus hop flavor. Each sip, kind of like the aroma, gives a brief sense this is barrel aged with the smooth rich vanilla running from beginning to end mixing with the rich sweet malt notes.

Bomber. Opaque black body, oily sheen on the side of the glass. Big dark tan head, mostly diminishing. Aroma of wood, cedar, roasted malts, plastic with hint of molasses and earth. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Slightly tart, dry. Medium to full body, creamy texture that turns slightly chalky. Moderate carbonation. Much more muted than anticipated, especially the hops, in both aroma and flavor — neither overly sweet or bitter, the aroma and flavor relying mostly on the cedar notes as its backbone. Thought that was a plus for an imperial stout because this was easy drinking with a nice balance. Interesting mix of the flavors that are there.

Waxed bomber picked up back at the release pours deep brown with tan head. The aroma is just huge with sweet sweet vanilla and bourbon notes moving into oak, some sweet malts and a modest nuttiness that seems just noticeable. The taste begins with a smooth slick sweet bolt of thick malts and nuttiness. Nearing midway the rich vanilla and bourbon come forward in force followed by a modest oak sensation. Wow! This is sweet smooth big bold and seems to hide all the alcohol oh so well.

750 from ericandersnavy. Pours a rather dark ruby with a multi-finger foamy tan head. There’s a lot of chocolate in the aroma. Medium plus body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is chocolate, and I’d say coffee, but maybe that’s nuts. There is one heck of a lot of chocolate flavor and some slighlty oily nuttiness. I can even imagine a touch of sour. And platinum. Like I’m really liking this. It’s malty, but flavorful, and there’s enough bitter to offset the malt.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy deep brown color ale with a huge light brown color head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of strong grassy and earthy hops are mix with some rye malt. Taste is a somewhat unique mix between loads of rye malt with loads of grassy and earthy hops and a medium bitter finish. Body is quite full with limited filtration and great carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Not sure I would drink this on a regular basis but a very interesting experiment nonetheless.
