Bottle from the lcbo. Jet black, thick, oily pour with a large beige head. Big soy sauce nose, with copious amount of dark, charred roasted malts, burnt brown sugar and espresso. Mouth feel is oily, and dense. Finish is medium bitter, less than expected. Some dark fruited notes make their way through, subtle pine resin, rounded out by more huge roasty, burnt goodness and strong espresso. Old school impy stout, not overly hopped like many, great stuff.

Can brought back from Florida by my father in law. Clear orange pour, big off white head. Aroma is fruit, lots of citrus, citrus oil, and crackery malts. Nice mouth feel, and carb. Finish is medium bitter, loads of citrus juice, and specifically grapefruit. A really nice ipa.

Cloudy brown pour, small tan head. Aroma is alot of sour cherries, red wine vinegar, malty brown sugar and some lactose funk. Flavor is a bit nutty, with some more sour cherries. Im getting faint touches of oak and some really sweet rum like sugars. Low bitterness, and quite acidic. A hi test flemish brown!

Kudos to the cheeseman for this hookup. Huge aroma of high alpha piney hops. Lots of resins balanced with an huge roasted/burnt malt kick. Big notes of coffee and bitter cocoa. Very lively carb, big bitter finish with a lingering roasted malt. Really nice stuff, but a little heavy on the hops.

Now this is how you oak age an ipa!! Right off the bat, a big pungent whiff of piney hop resins, and light tropical fruit, and then a good dose of nutty oak. The carb and mouthfeel are just about perfect. The finish is light and crisp, medium bitterness, and a nice piney aftertaste. The oak is not overwhelming, its very complimentary, adding a subtle yet very tasty nutty oak character. Impressive beer!

Dark hazy brown, big white head. Aroma s quite hoppy, dry grassy hops with some pine. Its also quite fruitywith soe aromas of brandy soaked bread, caramel, and toffee. Very full bodied, medium carb. Very dry bitter finish with a great booze soaked fruit kick. A great sipper but a tad too bitter.

Wicked aroma of oak, vanilla, roasted malt, piney hops, cocoa, and caramel. Flavor is dominated by oaky vanilla caramel malt, and sweet cocoa. very complex beer, super tatsty, and a great sipping beer. The finish is slightly sweet, with a caramel, cocoa, vanilla oak aftertaste with a slight bitterness.

Thanks to the cheeseman!
Well looks like this is another 5. Pours jet black witha mocha head. The aroma is intoxicating, there is do much going on. First thing that hits you is deep roasted almost burnt malt, piney hops, thick chocolate wrapped in oaky vanilla goodness......... I can’t get my nose out of the glass! The flavor is sublime. Lots of hops kick in and the oak is prevalent up front witha great oaky vanilla. The alcohol is there snd it warms nicely as it goes down. The mouthfeel is surprisingly
Smooth considering the oak ageing and the alcohol. Overall to me this is a perfect beer plain and simple!

Clear brown pour, small white head. The aroma is bold and in your face. Huge raw espresso, smoke, and tobacco with some roasted nuts for good measure. Light mouthfeel, solid carb. The finish is surprisingly light, with a light bitterness. Touches of espresso with cream, and even a bit of vanilla in the finish. Nice stuff!

Thisis the darkest most viscous beer i have ever seen. Aromais very roasty, and the hops are definitly noticeable, with a LOAD of cedar. The cedar really comes through. LOts of chocoalte, and roastiness, with an odd grainy pepper flavor. Its an interesting beer, but not one of my favorites.
