Description

750ml Bottle - Golden in colour. Lemon, yea, yeast and grapefruit in the aroma. Lemon, soapy hops and tea in the taste. Not quite as hoppy as I was expecting it to be.

Sample glass at the 2012 Essen Christmas Festival. Dark brown with ruby hints: small off-white/beige head. Very sweet aroma and taste; malty molasses vie for air as the smell hits the nose, this is one sickly brew. I’ve a sweet tooth and I struggled to enjoy this fully: sugary and syrupy throughout, hides the alcohol well, but I could feel my teeth complaining and arteries furring up as I drank the glass! I couldn’t have had more than the one glass, but I’m glad I had the one I did (honest).

Bottle thanks to Travlr at WoSF 2013. It pours hazy golden with a small white head. The nose is pear, melon, apple, ice-tea, mild sweetness, pear drops, hay, straw and red apple. The taste is icing sugar, lemonade, earth, straw, light spice, alcohol, some bitterness, floral and potpourri. Medium body and fine carbonation. Mild, smooth and easy drinking. Decent.

Courtesy of Travlr? Bottle on 24/04/2013. 33 cl. dude what is up with that label – that is just messed up & I have no idea what it is supposed to represent. Lightly hazy golden with some bigger white bubbles for head. Nose is sweet cloves, sweet spices, lightf soap, hoppy, banana, bitter herbs,… Taste is follows nose in being surprisingly sweet, sweet apples, some banana, cloves, sweet spices, sweet citrus + hay & almost no soap. Fuller & easy drinking. Interesting & better than most triples I have had so far.

Bottle sample @ VBPF ’13. Orangée-foin brumeuse, col blanc fin.
