Draft - Chocolate and salted caramel. Jet dark brown with a decent beige head. Dark roast, light caramel and a nutty note. Sweet, but appropriately so.

Bottle picked up at Total Wine, which is my "out of season, but still good, local craft" superstore. Not the first, and certainly won’t be the last. A darker amber pour with a rocky foam head. Mild aroma of caramel malt, oak, and the slightest hinted hop impression. Flavor is a slightly rich, dusty caramel malt, with another wood note. A solid winter ale I’m sure, but this is doing just fine in the sun watching baseball. Quite the tasty session strong ale here. This would be a fine addition to the year round lineup. UPDATE:. Rerate month 2018. Looks like it's starting to creep towards regular lineup status, considering I'm drinking it at the brewery in June. A solid beer here. Still really enjoy it.

Bottle fairly clear yellowish amber. Thin off white head. Fresh floral grassy hop aroma slightly chemically pungent and pithy hop flavor. Some character I don’t love in there. Pretty dry and clean. A little wet papery at the end.

On tap at Snakepit yesterday. Clear golden pour with a white head. Not much aroma to speak of, but it’s slightly sweet and grainy. Really basic for a frequently boring style, but it’s drinkable.

Draft at CL Lodge. Absolutely gorgeous pour, thick velvety head. Dark, but clear, amber., Huge malty aroma. Taste is full of big caramel and toffee notes, brown bread. English bitter done exceptionally well.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. I love the funkiness, hemp characteristics of the Idaho 7, and how it plays here. Normal enough pour, nothing to get to excited about. Hoppy , funky aroma, mild dank character. Taste adds some fruitiness, stone fruit, nectarines. Mildly sweet, but finishes with a mellow bitter bite. All over the board, but some how comes together nicely.

Crystal clear. Tropical fruit, pineapple, candy, some dirt in the aroma. Medium to thick, smooth body. Flavor is similar with powerful candied tropical fruits. It’s interesting but not something I could enjoy a sixer of.
