Bottle at home. Slightly unclear amberish with white head. Sweet malts, very rich nutty aromas, hazlenutcream, peanutbutter, chestnut, some light grassy and citrus fruitiness. Moderate sweet and quite dry and nutty bitter, which brings some umami taste as well. Medium body and quite some carbonation. Pretty dry feel. Indeed a light and thirstquenching summery brown ale. Another very easy drinking duck in the Bird pond.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in May 2018. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity, gently yeasty-spicy and a bit grassy aroma of banana, pineapple, lemon peel, a touch of grass and traces of clove. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, rather fruity, gently yeasty-spicy and a little grassy taste of banana, clove, pear, pineapple and lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy and a little grassy finish. Medium body, smooth, almost creamy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very pleasant and refreshing beer, easy drinking.

From can in Intercity from Leiden to Amsterdam. Sweet malts, tropical fruits, grassy, garliccy. Moderate sweet and bitter, light spicy hops. Medium body and soft carbonation, very juicy. Something milkfilmy (feeling) and burnt plastics (taste) in the aftertaste. Like some machine oil is in there or something. Tastes like filling stuff the dentist uses. Or the tranquilizer. Or latex gloves too. Weird. Maybe it’s just me but I do wonder if anyone else recognizes this. I was aiming at a 3.6 (7/3/7/3/16) but this changes the game. I’m worried to get poisoned now. --- Beer merged from original tick of Mees Kees on 13 Aug 2018 at 18:05 - Score: 1. Original review text: Awful chemical taste in the aftertaste, like filling stuff from the dentist or tranquilizer and latex gloves. Started good though.

Flesje gedronken bij B. en H. Roodbruin bier met stevig schuim. Aroma is koffie- en karamel-achtig. De smaak is zoetig en karamel-achtig. De nasmaak heeft ook de koffie en karamel smaak en blijft best even hangen.

33cl Bottle from Beerwulf. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of pine, some grapefruit, coffee, roasted malts, some caramel, quite soft all. Flavour is medium sweet, roast, pine, light citrus, caramel, tobacco, bitter hoppy finish. Light bodied, firm carbonation. Decent but not very outspoken.

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before April 2019. Clear, dark orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, fruity-floral, slightly resiny aroma of orange jam, ice tea and some pine. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, fruity-floral and slightly resiny taste of orange jam, ice tea, some pine and a touch of apricot, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly resiny and minimally herbal finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Like a British Lager, very pleasant beer!

Bottle @ home. Hazy amber color. Creamy off white heat with good retention. Aroma's: caramel malt, bready, herbal hops. Reteonasal follows this, with light fruity/citrussy sourness. Flavor is light moderate bitter, light caramellish sweet. Light to moderate bodied. Moderate bitter finish. Clean and pretty authentic German tasting.
