Bottle shared at THT actually July! Very dark brown with dark beige head. Lots of peat, sweet malts, ash, vanilla, more peat. Very strong Bowmore here, with soft base imperial stout. Light sugary and green leaves. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Over medium bodied. Strong on the Bowmore.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Hazy golden with huge fluffy white head. Lots of spicy saison yeast, light apples, peach, bitter grassy hops, light bready. Basically lots of spicy yeast and quite strong grassy hops with a nice balance of sweet bready malts. Medium bodied. Nothing too complex or exciting, but quite drinkeable, though it is quite bitter.

Rye IPA by Amsterdam's Bird Brewery, bottle at Biertuin in the Linnaeusstraat, thanks Craftmember for sharing. Lightly lacing, off-white, bit loose head, yet still relatively stable, over a hazy, deep amberish 'old orange' blonde beer with vaguely khaki-ish tinge near the bottom. Aroma of toasted onions, old grapefruit peel, pomelo, withering kitchen herbs, wet sandwiches, pine resin, dried mango flesh, moist peanuts, rainwater, some 'old hop' dankness. Fruity onset, peachy and apricot-ish with sweetness countered by quite sharply stinging, numbing carbonation adding a lot of mineral aspects; smooth peanutty maltiness with toasty edges and indeed prominent 'rye spiciness', accentuated by a long, bit piney, grapefruity hop bitter finish, peppery and drying. Bit overcarbonated and the old hops, even if I don't mind this aspect too much, would better be replaced by fresher ones - but this is mere nitpicking, in all this is a damn fine IPA and a damn fine beer, like most of Bird's creations.
