On tap at the brewpub. An almost black one, with a dense finger thick beige head. Roasted malts, sour coffee and some berries in the aroma. Some burnt hints. It's full bodied and semi dry, with a decent bitterness. Nice carbonation. Roasted malts, sour coffee and some burnt malts in the flavor. Berries and dark dried fruit hints. Medium length finish. Too coffee sour this one, failing to showcase the coffee. 241219

On tap at the brewpub. A hazy orange colored beer with a dense creamy off-white head. Lacing. The aroma is citrusy and piney, with grapefruit and orange, some pale malts and a hint of grass and alcohol. It's full bodied and nicely carbonated, gently warming, and decently bittered. Orange zest and grapefruit flavor with some pale malts. Lasting citrusy finish. A bit edgy this one, but quite nice. 241219

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear dark brown beer with a dense finger thick dark beige head. Nice lacing. The aroma has lots of chocolate, with roasted malts, some coffee and a dash of dark dried fruit. It's full to medium bodied and nicely carbonated, mostly dry, and with a good bitterness. The flavor is pretty much like the aroma, but the chocolate is toned down a bit, leaving more room for the roasted malts and coffee. Some dark dried fruit, cocoa and piney hops as well. Chocolate and roasted malts in the finish. A nice brew, bringing Porter into Schwarzbier, which works well I think. Missing the burnt notes a bit though. 241101

Tap @ the brewpub. Dark brown, almost black body under a fine, dense, lacing beige head. Aroma has roasted malt and bread. The taste is smooth, mild roasted dark malt, biscuit, bread, chocolate and nice bitterness. God balance in taste and body, just sweet enough and just bitter enough. Nice and easy drinkable beer with taste. Chocolate flavor is more detectable in aftertaste. A nice take on the dark lager style.

On tap at the brewpub. It's an almost clear one, golden in color and with a dense, finger thick white head. Nice curtains. Mostly fruity aroma, with pine cones, resin and grapefruit. Bread, caramel and some diacetyl in the aroma. Full bodied and semi dry, nice bitterness. The flavor had diacetyl and bread in the back, with piney, grapefruit hops. Decent bitterness. Lasting fruity finish. Except for the diacetyl it's a fine brew. 241022

Tap @ the brewpub. Nice, clear golden body under a fine, dense white head. Aroma has malt, citric fruits, hint of marmalade and pine. Taste is medium sweet, soft malt, citric fruity hops, some marmalade and a touch of pine. Distinct and good bitterness. Fine body with a nice, bitter aftertaste that lasts for a while. A really nice, well made, honest, no nonsense old school IPA. Not strong in alcohol, but makes a fine balance between malt and bitterness and feels well balanced. Nice to see these are back in style again.
