Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok, 7.1% ABV. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is dry smoky roasted malt, charcoal, liquorice hop. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter with a smooth, dry roasty charcoal, light dry coffee, light cocoa, liquorice hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, light citrus, spicy floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, dry spicy, lemongrass floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Fresh, nicely balanced and truly oriental.

All the flavours are too weak and very much in the background. Great Leap have brewed better beers than this.
