Ommegang fest. Hazy brown ale with a spicey incense aroma (myrrh , im told). Honey taste with the incense comming through the swwet malt. Rich and complex body. Another best of show.

Hazy gold with a nice off white head. Light spicey abd fruituy aroma, apricot. Nice lactic and sweet malt with balaced alcohol finish.

Cloudy orange color. Yeasty aroma, a bit sour. Some residual sweetness, too much carbonation. Ends quite thin and dry. Poor fruit character.

Now this is an interesting beer, pouring cloudy orange with abundant dark "floaties" and a thin-medium light tan head. Rich, complex aroma of spice, layered breads, caramel, and nuts. Very yeasty. The flavor is quite complex too, with bubblegum, cotton candy, biscuit, caramel, fruits including orange peel, cracker, corn syrup and bitter phenols suggesting something Hair of the Dog would produce. However, the beer does not finish clean, leaving a musty, slightly off-putting yeasty aftertaste in the back of the mouth and throat. In fact, 20 minutes later, the taste is still in my mouth. Still worth trying if you’re interested in complex beers.

8% ABV version Gushing to huge, very dense head, cream-colored head; darker amber. Aroma hops, and a bit of caramel malts in the nose, also a coriander smell. Taste with liquorice, very sweet (huge amount of restsugars), diacetyl and citrus. Retronasal hops. Quite sticky mouthfeel, very thick, full-bodied. A very sweet tripel. Brigand in the Italian way? Re-rate second 10% version with J.Walker whisky yeast Fully hasy, peach & olive coloured; off-white slim head and some alcohol. Caramel,vegetable, almonds, ambrée malts, very typical. Where is that special yeast? Slick, velvety MF. ’Scusato, Lorenzo, but maybe Le Baladin likes a tad too much experimenting and tinkering, instead of stabilising; oh, well, I’m never satisfied.

The aroma is sweet, with notes of yeast and cloves. The color is brown and it has a beutiful though disappearing head. The flavor is sweet malty with alcohol prickling the tongue and notes of chocolate and wood. It ends on a dry and somewhat alcoholic note.

Cloudy golden color. Fruity aroma (peach, apricots…), white sugar. Dry, a bit fruity; average malt. A light fruitness still in the final. A very average beer.

The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and corriander. The color is an unclear light yellow and it has a fine but disappearing head. The flavor is sweet with dominating notes of wheat and corriander - just like a witbier should taste. It ends on a dry wheaty note. The body is quite thin. Admited I'm not a witbier lover - but also far from not liking it - so I wonder why my marks are so far of from the previous raters.

Dark orange-amber; yeast all in suspension; good yellowish head. Nose is fruity (kaki-fruit?), estery, yeasty and a bit oppresive. Taste is fruity again, slight tarty-sourness. Well-bodied, creamy too. fruity aftertaste. This is a good rich beer, but not out of the world - completely paling against the Solera version of the same beer.
