Description
Love Lane Brewing is based in the heart of Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, voted the “coolest” district in the UK. We’re keeping the city’s proud brewing heritage alive, with a new brewery and distillery.

In 2016, we began the transformation of our Liverpool base, renovating an old rubber factory into a 18,000 hectolitre Brewery, capable of brewing 3.2 million pints. Our family of beers and gins are all made under one roof.

Liverpool Craft was founded in 2011. Liverpool Craft bought in the Higsons Brewery name in 2018 at he same time the brewery changed name to Love Lane Brewery. Brewing started at the current venue in 2019. Cask beers are produced using the Higson's name, keg beers using Love Lane.

Enjoyed at home after buying the can at a Home Bargains store. A milky, rich and sweet porter without the sum of its parts becoming overbearing. It's quite a tasty effort with some chocolate involved. Slightly floralised aroma but its general dark to roasted maltiness is still evident.

[44cl can from Home Bargains.] A peaty brown coloured pour with a scant covering of beige head; aroma of chocolate and roasted malts; creamy in the mouth with a taste of roasted dark malts and a touch of coffee; then a bittersweet finish with a trace of vanilla. A sound Porter.

Dark brown, opaque. In the nose wet cardboard, then coffee, chocolate maltiness and light sweetness. Full body, low carbonation, roastiness, coffee and dark chocolate with a sour note. Decent porter.

Foamy white head on a turbid golden coloured body. Mango & stone fruit aroma. Medium bodied, soft with a short dry back. Mango, pineapple, stone fruit, grape & exotic fruit tastes thinning out to a bit of a limp finish. Nice enough.

44o can from Home Bargains. Golden in colour and hazy, with a thin, white, head. Aroma of citrus hops and tropical fruit sweetness, with some green herbs in the background. Flavour had more fruit, light rich tea malts and a hint of greenery before a dryish finish. Good.
